RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
Got my XS today. Actually funny because I ordered parts from Tower for my sc10 on saturday, and ended up ordering the XS monday and the XS showed up today but my sc10 parts are still MIA. But I ran 3 packs through the XS (2s) and this little truck is a freaking blast. [>:] I'm going to see how long the stock tires last, then I'm getting a set of Badlands.

If you run on a ot of pavement, yes. On 2s the truck will flip on its lid from even a slow 5mph roll. Lots of dirt? With the stock tires no way in hell. Maybe with a good set of pro-lines.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
Is anyone having issues with your esc dropping power to the drive motor?
I will be running my truck, approach a ramp, and the power will cut out. When I go to flip the truck back on to it's wheels the ESC will be making it's start up beeps. Once the ESC starts back up I can drive it again. Last point, once on the way to the truck I was able to steer the wheels before I heard the ESC beeps. Once the beeps were over I could use the driver motor and steering.
Thanks for any help

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
Took my xs ss out on its first run today,
I am running a leopard 60a v2 esc along with a toro 3900kv motor,
Turnigy 40c 5200 2s lipo,
On loose gravel the tires worked well but on damp grass it was wheel spin, drifting all the way,
After 10 mins I could hear my esc start up tones and the truck became unresponsive,
Then drove fine again, this happened a couple more times until there was total loss of drive,
Got home striped the gearbox out and opened the gear mesh cover,
the pinion gear had slid tight against the motor and away from the drive gear,
readjusted this time putting red loctite on the motor shaft as well as on the grub screw,
But with the run time I had I'm impressed with this little truck, god it's fast,
and it does handle good for a monster truck,
Can't imagine that il ever need to go 3s on it.

My Savage XS Flux and Bullet MT Flux will be here today...
I bought the XS thinking it was a 1/10..So I hope it doesn't let me down.
Also is there a difference between XS flux and XS SS?

The difference between the XS and the XS SS, is that the SSis a kit version.

The XS will be a bit smaller than your anticipated 1/10 scale, but is just as durable or better.

So, I got my bullet and XS in today. Setup ESC and ran a 5k 2S pack each and these kits FLY! The Savage is wicked fast. I just have one issue with the XS..Why the hell is there not a POWER SWITCH!!??![&:]
Also had the bullet flux take off on me while setting up the ESC..apparently I setup the neutral as full throttle and when I turned it on after saving settings it took off at full speed..lol

There is a power on/off switch, right in front of the esc.

Was going to wait to get new shocks until the stock ones broke.. well, the rear shocks are broken after 2 packs of light bashing. The bottom plastic snapped.
Can anyone suggest some decent upgrade shocks for the XS? Was looking at some proline shock from tower but they are $50 for rear set..
I'm looking to spend around $20 or so.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
Hi everyoneI just picked up my new Savage XS ss and I need advice...
I plan to use a spare Novak Kinetic ESC & Speed Passion 4 turn sensored motor in the XS. Do you guys think this is ok?
Somebody advised me not to use the 4 turn and if so, would an LRP X12 13.5 turn be adequate?
Or if still no, could I buy an appropriate motor but use the Kinetic anyway? I'd rather not spend if I don't have to
Thank you very much in advance for all your recommendations, positive or otherwise!

Estou pensando em comprar + 4 amortecedor, e instalar os mesmos. Totalizando 8 amortecedores. Será que fica bom?
De aluminio mais baratos tem os da GPM e da HOTRACING...

I'm talking about who has this shocks HOTRACING:
However, anyone know if it's worth putting more 4 stock shocks? Original HPI? Totaling 8 shocks?
Thank you.

Os absorvedores de choque não é o que eu estou olhando para fazer. Eu preciso 4 novos choques que são baratos. Não tenho idéia do que você está falando de

I doubt its going to be worth it. The truck is light. Hell, the 1/8 Flux HP has 4 shocks and that does just fine.

I am to make a purchase on liquidrc.com and was wondering if there is any oil or grease should I buy. For any further maintenance? In differential or engine?
