I might get the 12mm adapters so I can use the same tires the Detta ST uses so I don't have to buy twice as many tires since I plan to get my Detta ST running after my Mini-Slider conversion is done.

depending on what you have on it, i have seen them catch close to 200 on ebay. How about listing it on this site for trade?

wow, sounds like a nice mini. I would try to list it on ebay. If you put a reserve on it, it will not go any lower than you want. 200 does not sound too bad. if it does not sell, you are only out a couple of dollars on the listing cost.

I finlly recieved my upgrades for my mini baja.
1 Set of GPM Shocks
1 # racing ball diff
1 set of GPM Turnbuckles

everything was going together great until I got to the last turnbuckle. As I was unscrewing the stock ball to replace it, wouldnt you know it the darn front knuckle arm broke. So now I have to put in another order and wait. I was debating on whether I should get the aluminum version ar just stick with stock. Any feedback on this? Im not a big fan of aluminum but I would like to replace the flimsy parts with something better.

I ran with the same question on Friday. I fired my mini up and broke a rear knuckle with in 2 minutes. I had alum ones on it but put stock back on recently. The stock is what broke. I had sold the alum ones recently and was thinking the same as you, would the Alum be better. Dummy you sold them.....

I still think no. I would rather have to replace a knuckle than an arm, a pin, and or bulkhead because the knuckle would not give due to it being alum.

I would break knuckles less often then I would break my rear suspension mount. I guess it doesn't like 7 foot jumps and landing on the rear right tire almost sideways several times on asphalt. Does anyone know of a good shim set to get rid of some of the slop in the Mini-Ts suspension? I got my eBay account set up so I'll be buying more stuff for my Mini T/Slider in the next weeks.

I think I found what battery that I'm going to make/use for my Slider/Mini-T. It's going to use 6 2650 mah Duracell AA cells. Its heavy but the extra run time will be worth it.

you better go with lipo/a123.
I might try a123, still looking for more info on them, but heard a lot of good things except their weight.

I use Zippy 1300mah 2S Lipo's. I get 30 minute run times and they weight half the weight of the Nimh's. I also have some Zippy 800mah 2S Lipo's and they give me about 12 minute runs times. Good stuff. Ordered them from hobbycity. REALLY CHEAP TOO but GREAT quality.

Will A123's give you the same or close to the power and runtimes of a lipo? Do they need to be balanced? I dont want to buy any more nihm batteries since there are comparably priced alternatives now but I want to know if I go with either lipo/a123 what additional things I would need.

a123 1100 about 40gr/cell
2s 95 gr
3s 130gr
4s 190gr

the 2300 about 70gr/cell
2s 155gr
3s 230gr
4s 310gr

no problem with run time, they fully charge in 10 minutes
get 2 pack you can run all day long.

probably I'm going with the 3s 2300, any suggestions?
