I wish I got paid for doing this -
Cool, can't wait for the link. I want to get it. Especially if you were able to do wheelies with it. I am going to make a saddle pack with the GP1100's that I have.

Thanks for the links elmo-uk
Still want to see the link for the graupner speed 300 - I think I might go that route. Will let you know what I end up getting.

RE: Official Mini-T Thread
Well, the K3 Video is a little bit at an advantage there only because there is a LiPo pack on that one. But assuming the other vid of the Gruper has a 6 cell pack, I can tell you that the typical K3 will stomp it! I have one of those ramps and with my K3 I had the truck just flying! I mean that's ok and all but It didn't seem nearly as fast. If I am not mistaken, The K3 is a Tuned and QC'd Grouper motor anyway. Basically, you pay the extra few $ to make sure you are getting a good one and it's tuned and broken in for you by URC. Either way, it's a heck of a lot better then the stock... LOL...
As for my Brushless Q. Thanks. I probably will go with the 6800. And as of now I have 2 nice Kan packs from URC Also I have Deans Ultra plugs on everything! and I plan to get a couple of the New GP cell packs with the motor... I'm really not looking to get anything LiPo right now. I have enough invested in chargers and I really don't need to burn down my house...

Yeah - in both videos that MiniT's were fast. But the one with the K3 - I would like to see it with a good 6 cell MiMH pack. And see the difference.
I think the graupner 300 will be better for the kids in the long run.

Oh, yeah, well, how old are your kids? To be honest, the K3 is really fast! Like, I wouldn't let too yong of a child drive it! It has a troumendous amount of tourqe too and takes off like a bat out of Hell. I hate to say it but specifically for the children, you may just want to get a Losi Speed motor. About 50% faster then stock but not insane! The K3 is about 300% faster then stock... LOL... Or you could try the Reedey Peak Modified. That's almost as fast but not quite as the K3 an it's a 280 so no mods or new Motor plate...
Ok, I just put on the loger body posts on my Big-Mini T to make it a little meaner looking and alos to try and help it from flipping over if I touch the trigger too hard... LOL. It looks pretty mean! And it worked like a charm. It can still flip but not as easily and it actually acts as a roll cage and usually flips over if I traction roll.
One more tip... I just got some more Deans connectors and replaced the motor conectors to Deans instead of the stock ones and Wow, I'm shocked at the difference in performance. I'm amazed that there was that much resistance in the others... Crazy...

I have little ones -
But they can drive. They used to drive my wife's TMaxx and some of my other RC's. Just for in the house, I need to get them used to going slow for now. Later I will put in the Mamba for them. But not yet.

RE: Official Mini-T Thread
the vid of the groupner had been modified with a very high speed pinion not made for the mini t which gave that a a very high speed. if you gave that stock gearing it would not be nearly as fast as it was.
Thats what the owner was saying!
if you put that pinion on the mini t with the k3 you would get some serious speed.

Yes....higher the pin. T count..the faster the speed.....BUT...
1. Lower the runtimes
2. Faster you will blow ANY motor out.
Its a trade off.

Dont know how many teeth, this is what he says
i would post the forum link but might get in trouble.
here in the uk i can get 3 graupners for the price of one k3 so blowing them shouldnt be an issue. run times is a problem though[&:]
I have a graupner speed 300 and a wicked fast gearing ratio. I dont know what it is because the larger gear is not a normal mini-t gear. The thing is fast. People at the hobbyshop dont believe me when I tell them I am running a graupner speed 300
It is only really fast for a couple of minutes than It sorta slows down but is still descent speed most of the video was shot on a middle to low battery because I let the cameraman drive for a little bit while re-viewing some of the footage.

All that matters on pinions are that they are right pitch and physically fit the application you are using. A lot of people use bigger pinions than stock.
