Crimping has the least resistance, but not many people want to go out and spend 250 dollars on a good crimping tool. The best deans are deans ultra, you can get them pretty much anywhere.

I think they mean solder the motor directly to the ESC.

Go with the deans ultra, far better than the mini plugs, and the prongs dont get bent easily if you have a mishap or crunch it.

Unless you swap motors everyday I don't see why its retarded. All my motors are soldered directly to the ESC.

the only reason to use anything other than a deans ultra is if you are an idiot or have a car smaller than 18th, such as a micro t. the deans ultra fit just fine in my 18t and like someone said, they have less resistance than an equal length piece of wire, this was tested in one of the magazines about a year ago. people normally dont argue about direct soldering motors, the argument is about whether or not it is more efficient to direct solder your battery, and deans plugs have proved that it is not. you can buy deans plugs at any decent hobby shop for about $3. best thing you can do to an rtr in my opinion.

considering Brushless motors don't have the leads on the outside of the endbell, no.
