What are the best all around off-road tires?
Well, the time has come to get some new tires, my stock rc18t tires are almost slick in the rear[8D] The last time I posted this post almost a month ago I didnt get many replies, so everybody just let me know what you think Please let me know the pros and con's of different types of tires.(ex. dirt hawg vs mini pin)
I am looking for a tire that will give me the most traction all-around offroad and last the longest time. I want them to fit wabash wheels.
Here are a few that I found that look okay- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=007

RE: What are the best all around off-road tires?
There has to be a difference between all of them![:-] I am driving on gravel dirt and grass. What would you personaly pick if you were on a budget?(no specified amount but not wanting to spend a lot- which is worth it) Which ones will last the longest? These look nice http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=007 How will the ribs and short pins effect preformance, more bite?

Any of the pin treads will wear out fast - easpecially in dirt and gravel.
I've been using the dirt hawgs and they hold up well and are the longest lasting of the group.
btw, that ebay seller of the dirt hawgs? - 2 thumbs up!

How will the outside ribs on the 2nd set of tires affect my handling?
How do the dirt hawgs handle? They look heavy, will they slow down my car?
Green machine what are those tires you posted, they look very scale?

All you need is a new set of rims and some adapters. These things will outlast the car and they have some serious traction in grass and gravel. They also drift nicely on asphault. The extra ground clearance is great. Just a suggestion as I use them and found that they changed they way my 18t drove off road enormously and for the better.

RE: What are the best all around off-road tires?
IMO:
The dirt hawgs are good in semi soft terrain like gravel, dirt etc, but not as good on hard packed surfaces.
Pin type tires are usually good on most surfaces (- ice) but wear out quickly
Personally, I like crimefighter, or bowtie style tires. They grip well most places, and for me, they seem to last longer than pins. Those half ribbed, half fuzzy's look kinda cool for fronts, but I have never tried them myself.

Pointless? I just gave you several reasons why i use them and I could list a couple more. If they aren't for you then thats great but what are your reasons for thinking its "pointless"?

1) They are for scale 1/10 veichles.
2) There are better tires out.
3)Its a hard compound rubber which isnt always the best.
I have more.
