RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
i got mine yesterday. I said the hell with the 6 hour charger and i used my regular charger. And im so happy i sold my nitro revo. Its def worth $300
Some things i like:
Its a great size. Bigger than my vendetta st. Its close to a 1/15 or 1/14 scale.
Its very light
Tons of power.
I like the option for a second servo
2 battery trays
Some things i dislike:
Shocks are a little small..
Battery trays hit back tire making it hard to open
And thats pretty much it. The power is awsome for a stock truck. i cant even imagine it on 2s..
I hope parts come in soon though.

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
UPS has mine out for delivery today - woohoo!
From the videos I've seen and the posts I've read, I think anything much beyond two 2S LiPo's in parallel just gives you a straight line dragster. I am interested in some track running and unless the ESC on these things is truly linear, using a series rather than parallel set-up sounds insane for a track.
Anyone else agree, disagree?
Oh, yeah, it's raining here today, but who cares!

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
OK, UPS delivered yesterday and this is one sweet little truck! It appears well designed and assembled, but the durability of the tie rods and turnbuckles remains to be seen. I only had time to make two runs with a single stock battery and am very impressed with the speed, turning response, and turning radius. The ESC is better than I thought, but could still use a smoother linear response.
Today I plan to take it to the beach and check it out with two stock 1200mAh batteries wiredin parallel. In the short time I had to run last night, this 1/16 E-Revowas an absolute blast to run. I've got some 2200mAh 2S LiPo's coming by slow boat from China and look forward to seeing how much difference there is between the stock batteries, other than what should obviously be a longer run time.

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
I am sure I will also want to experiment with shock oils, and I do understand the various viscosity levels. I also anticipatethe need to experiment with the shock springs because of the different terrainsI will be running in (sand, hard-packed tracks, road, grass, etc.), but I amconfused. Can someone decode for me the stiffness relationship among the Red, Green, Tan, and Black shock springs available for the mini E-Revo?

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
tan and black should be stiffer.
Anyone see the use of the extra gear ? I know what it says, but that would be gearing down. gear down to run 14.4V? Its a smaller pinion right thas what is says in the manual.

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
i got to fondle one at the LHS yesterday! aside from the fake adjustable turnbuckles and VERY small battery trays, i was throughly impressed by the overall design and apparent build quality! these things really exceeded my expectations and i had a hard time walking out of the store without one in a bag!
its ashame the battery boxes are so small... it seems like they could have made them big enough to fit much larger capacity cells had they not built the compartments around 2/3a stick packs! nimh is on the way out in the rc realm. if the decision were up to me, i would have build the battery boxes as large and rectangular as possible and then maybe included some foam support adaptors for nimh. my 2¢ fwiw

The red aluminum Rustler VXL turnbuckles will work for the back of this truck, I'll have to pick up a set. This thing is awesome!

MuggyDude,
I agree, it IS an awesome little buggy! How do you know the red aluminum Rustler VXL turnbuckles will work for the back of this 1/16th Revo? If that's true, it sure would be great to get a pair!

Here are some pics of mine ...
I have put on stiffer springs (black rear , tan front) and it seems too have helped alot , it floats over the bumps on my track now and the tires really hook up great on the track ...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
Because I have a set of them! But one of them is broken, so I'll just wait. Sucks! I had to dremel out the battery wire holes for 3s, but it was worth it! 360 standing backfilps are awesome. The Rear driveshaft has popped out 3 times now though, so no more of those. The steel cvds are going to be my first upgrade.

The wheels are from Hotbodies for their 1/10 buggy , though academy and Kyosho wheels will work also as long as they are 12mm hex .

The tires are from Losi and are model X3000 1/10 buggy rear tires

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
Are you sure. The ball end is too large. I tried usid Losi ball ends and the ball hole for teh bolt is too small.
And from above, Yes I ran two IB 1600mah NimH in series so 14.4 and ran stock pinion and hit about 50 or so. The tires were balloning and it was fast as alll .......... Sick fast like why would you go that fast fast. I can almost complet the 360 flip with that combo and it pulls wheelies still at speed with that gearing. BUT the motor and batteries do get HOT . I''m talking the wire connector tab onf the batt burned the shrink wrap. So I will have to gear down and it will be even more harder to control as far as wheelies.
But ist stupid fast. I think that for a good all around use of speed and control one 2S or two good 16mah in parallel is good enough.
Shocks, I would run 60wt or 50wt oil and green, tan or black depending on the jumping and terrain. I already ordered the metal shocks and nitrade shafts, the black and tan springs and i'm going to get the toelinks. I am going to pass on the suspension linkage. I keep plastic to just have that "give" if needed. Going to upgrade teh servo or run two stock. Try this. Pick your car up and have it on it turnm the wheels so it bounces off the servo save and the servo causes teh wheels to shake back and forth for a second or two. Not sure if I like that but I need to find a good 50oz or more servo.
I'm gonna make one more high speed pass on the 28T pinion and thats it. I'll stay at that pinion till I get the 3S and see what I want to do. May just go down to only a 25T. Split the difference.
I have rann it pretty hard even hit a few things at a decent speed and so far so good.

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
2s is gonna be the sweet spot for off road , even with the 23t on its still pretty quick and with 3s in it its ballistic !
Already swapped the springs too black rear , tan front . Went too 50wt oil in the rear and left the front stock . Seems too work a little smoother now over the smaller bumps .

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
Just got one last night. The first battery I tried was a 3s 1350 30C TP and with stock gearing and its a rocket! The motor and esc got a little to warm for my likeing (looking at a heat sink for the motor and cutting a hole in the windsheild) It has no issues pulling a wheely with the stock battery. Just gun it and up it goes. I really like this thing but it needs stiffer springs and thicker fluid!
