A piped .25 speed project posted at RCU is as rare as......when Smokin'RV posted his .25 VRDF powered delta project some years ago.
I saw a piped .25 in person on a SIG "prop jet" that was such a great all around performer. The owner would just grab the spinner with his thumb and fore finger, give it a backwards twist and the engine would fire up at a fast idle.

Lol yes a china knock off in a smaller version in this case it worked out great for me lol..
Yes I spin start them that way too. I had a piped .25 on a pattern plane back in the 90s was a great flying plane and didn't need a 40 size tank to enjoy a flight so saves fuel.
The Macs pipe site has a nice chart for cutting down the header pipe with known rpm readings. 16.7 open and with pipe 17.55 if the header is cut to 3.5" I will cut mine at 4" and start from there on 20% nitro.
3.5mp

I picked up a piped OS .25 VF... but not the VF-DF.. a while ago and it begs for something like a Kittiwake or a compact sport/pattern something. SmokinRV's delta was one of the three proto Demon .25's I cut a while back. I will circle back to that design shortly.

I have a 42" span Kaos (sized the plans down from a 60 and scratch built) with light gear and a Norvel 25 on a pipe. Cross field take offs and then turn it straight up. Vertical 8's the size you would do with a 60.

Yea may have to do up a 25 size Skorch in pattern plane style for a nice mix of speed and thrust.

Check this out running on just 36hp
Lindbergh flew the Flivver on a visit to Ford field August 11, 1927, and was the only other pilot to fly the Flivver prototype.
He later described the Flivver as, "one of the worst aircraft he ever flew".
The original designer flew it back and forth to work all the time. Guess its a matter of what you can get use too.
If any one has a vid of this particular 1/3 scale plane flying please post.

The Hummingbird is what you get when you loop a Gypsy Moth and pull too hard at the bottom. (okay not really..)

Went to the print shop and had some 36" x 42" plan sets produced
Its a big plus to see a full size prospective on the design the dimensions are good!

The upside of having some plans is boundless and during the construction phase one immediate perk is trying on some other engines for size.

WELP the verdict is in Slimline Vs. the copycat version
$22.5 vs $15.28

Both versions look like a great value.
I took art in high school and spent some time trying to paint a realistic face. I never was able to get the skin color just right after quite a lot of experimenting. Looking back on the time wasted in that class, it would have been much better spent in a model aviation class.

Yes it works out great for anyone needing a smaller modern female pilot for .061 to .15 size engines the other for 25 to 60 size planes.

LOL I was doing just that here is the enlarged version I hung up the plans on the wall to take a pic with a yard stick hanging on the right to reference size then blew it up to 44in span 25 to 40 size version will work great with the American made Pamela Pilot.. and yes they are much more well defined.

The print shop will have to make these plans up with two separate sheets as they are limited to 36in width on a large feeder roll of paper.
