October 1 gives me a fighting chance too.. I like it.

I have two designs in mind, have to pick one and try to use this as the impetus to get the darn thing done!

Prime candidate is a 1/2A aero bipe I have outlined but not detailed. Second is a remake of the Squirt.. the single Ace panel low wing homebuilt-ish thing that I actually built and flew a few times (really), but with a balky Surestart that pissed me off. When the engine behaved it was fun. Glide performance was stellar - that's always a good sign. It's on the bench getting a Norvel .061, throttle servo, and landing gear. Rev 2 will have a built up tapered wing but will still be tiny and overpowered.

OK; thanks for explaining me better... It wasn't clear for me.
In any case, I'll participate... Will think on something.
Cheers and Thanks again

Oct 1 works for me. I'm slammed with projects already. I'm thinking I can get some extra time if I "Accidently" set the honey-do list on fire like last year. Year before too, come to think of it. Thank God her memory sucks. lol

So is there going to be a list worked up for folks to see who is all in and as they decide on their project they can message you to add the project name to their place on the list. Having a list will help juice participation and shame those member's to commit to their announced projects lol

I'm in -- probably a crop duster of some sort. I'm retiring after 40 years at the University so I need something to keep me busy.

Although I remember comments to parents in one of my grade school report cards saying: "Has trouble competing projects" and it haunts me to this day, I'd like to give it a go as well.

If you'd like a project name now, I'll call it Airrow Two...

With great fear of the ensuing commitment I proclaim: "I'm in!".

Either the 1/2A bipe or the MkII Squirt. Or the CobraZ "pylon racer", a rough knock off of the old Pilot Cobra Z without the porcine fuselage. Whatever.. something.

And listening to this:

The 'graph' paper, erasor, X-Acto, will tell me...

Don't forget to link to your build thread, when you start it, in the official contest thread.

I'm in.
I'll just have to find the time to do it..
Going to take another shot at the Half - A - Wing (flying wing).

32" to 36" wing span with 6" cord.
Put about 7 degree sweep on the wing.
Add some wing tips to stabilize it.
Maybe a small fin in the center.
Add a .049 sure start in the back.

I'm in. Not sure of the project name yet but will be an OS 15 as it's been almost 20 years since I built that size. I already scored one from my LHS for $15.

I started planning for TD .049 or Norvel .061. Then I realized that I've got an unflown OS .10 that I've been wanting to do something with for countless years. Did I read right that we're expanding beyond 1/2A for this? Seems I'd get handicap points for going with the ancient OS .10!

Not sure I can make it happen, many things to do between now and then. As for my idea, let's just say CENSORED, sorry no clues.

Not in yet, I'm just thinking. What's this about build threads and links? Build thread required or just an original airplane required? I don't do build threads but I do build airplanes.

Well rats, is this going to get in the way of my Screamin' Demon? It does sound like fun.

Dave

Dave, a build thread isn't that bad. It's just a bit of log here with a few pictures to show off the progress.

And since there's no prizes other than a straight random draw from the names there's no disadvantage to using the new .10.

Just do a build thread on the Demon and tell everyone it's 20" wingspan. Don't leave any physical clues or references in the photos, and yer good. That way you get them both done.
