Default Hobby Lobby Crash - Super Chipmunk ARF Electro

Anyone think it would be possible to convert this to glow. I have a couple .049 engines laying around the house (one surestart) and I would like to use that instead.

Any thoughts?

"Foam and Plastic" might be an interesting conversion.

-edited - I misread the description, where's my glasses?

brocja, the Behr WBP-U should be compatible with the foam. (I've used it on white foam) That should be all you need to do to fuelproof it and it looks to be the perfect size for a surestart! Let us know if you do it. If the results are good, it might open up alot of (B)ARF's to glow conversion.

Go to Home Depot, look for the textures and pearls. Not the Minwax isle! It's in a blue-green(?) can with a plastic bottom. Bipe found it many moons ago and I just recently played with it. Let it cure first. Sorry, don't remember exactly how long I waited. Overnight or so. Not nearly as long as the rustoleum had to cure! It held up to the 35%, but I didn't leave it on to soak. I don't leave it on to soak in real life, so I didn't see the point in testing it like that.

Well guys, I took the plunge today and picked up the Super Chipmunk ARF from Hobby Lobby. Hopefully will be at my work by Friday, but if not it will be here early next week sometime. Now the only issue is to sell a couple of planes I'm not using to fund the parts needed to finish the plane.
