Here are some of the local hotels and the approximate rates for 2 adults from Priceline. The first 2 we have used quite a bit for the Team Trials and district events, but some have asked for some higher end places so the last 2 are for you! The Hilton is by a very large outdoor mall and is famous for wedding parties. The Hampton is right outside the Lakeland airport. Both are pretty new and highly rated in the reviews.

These are the rates I got from Priceline.com, so of course the earlier you book the better the prices. Lakeland is a city of 200,000 plus, so there are tons of hotel options. The ones I listed here are on the south side and closer to the field.
