I looked at:

Gelande II
Redcat Sumo
Various Orlandoos
ECX Barrage
WPL C24
Carisma MSA-1E
Basher Rocksta

In the end, i’m going with the Rocksta. It seems to have the best torque/speed for crawling right out of the box, the 4-wheel steering is a great bonus, and it’s dirt cheap. You can even buy a metal-geared RTR version now, and full kits for spares are cheap and seem to go on sale for $15 now and then.

The wheels are compatible with the Losis, and if you pick up some Sumo ball ends you can fit Losi rods as well.

We’re lucky to have so many options these days.
