Thanks Mikey, FWIW, I too hate the reviews saying, "in the right hands it will do anything" What the heck, go look at the flyrc (I think it is) that has the 40% DP Edge, sounds like they did a maiden flight, then wrote the review.. I try to get 10-20 flights on a bird before I write a word, by then I can get pretty in tune, and I KNOW what it will and wont do.

Gymnast - its never too much power! Hehehe ... I got the combo and the power is just nice despite running on Kokam 1,250 Mah batts, trying hard to find the 850 Mah batts.
Flying - I solved the problem by using another cable tie on the sharp bend of the UC, that means drilling two extra holes to secure that portion of the UC. This will ensure that the UC is most firm.

RE: ExtremeflightRC Yak55SP-E...Sweet!
I have just received an early Christmas present, an Extremeflight RC Yak55SP-E with the Torque 22T/930 motor. There are no instructions on how to fit this motor. I have some ply bits, that i assume are for the motor mount. [ I never was any good at puzzles ]Some close up pictures would be great.
Thanks
Kevin.
Thanks

Gymnast, Extreme Flight sells a new mount for outrunners on profiles, they cost about $5-6 and it's an easy installation. for whatever reason EF doesn't have it on their website but i ordered an extra one with my YAK (the new kits come with them) to be used on another profile i have.

RE: ExtremeflightRC Yak55SP-E...Sweet!
i'm trying to figure out how my prop(APC 10x4.7) is supposed to be secured to my motor(Hacker a20-22l)...the prop comes with two small rings but neither fit on the shaft properly and the prop is too big for the shaft too.
the motor also came with a washer, nut and some other kind of shaft with threads that i have no idea what to do with... am i supposed to ream out the prop a little more so one of the plastic washers(that came with the prop) will fit into the prop and then onto the shaft? also neither of the plastic adapters that came with the prop fit the shaft of the motor, does that mean i also have to enlarge the adapters to fit the shaft also?

EH - check the slot for the horizontal stab carefully, its goes further fore than you think and you can slide it out by turning it like 45 degrees first. Personally I would not bother to remove it, I just glued everything on.
Also as for the mounting you can try this! Enjoy it!!! http://www.jethobby.com.sg/cgi-bin/e...on=list&cid=25

I have got the slot for the horiz stab maxed out, it is all the way against both stops unless it needs to cut across even further like the slot for the ailerons.
I really want the stabs to come off as one of the reason i got this was the transportability.
Sorted out the motor mount, there is a ply kit which forms into a mount, there was no mention of this in the instructions though.

Homer - I doubt we should cut the slot any bigger, you may have to slot it in diagonally, as for the motor mount they assume we will know.
