Best 3d electric RTF for beginner???
Hello, I am a newbie to RCUNIVERSE and WOW... I am so excited to move up to 3D. I would really love your input on what to buy. Something for a beginner 3D flier that is very durable and easy to fix when crashed...LOL[X(] RTF please. What are some good ones out there and where is a good reputable customer service oriented online store I could buy it at? I really like the Extra 330 or Extra 330L I found at Bananahobby.com. However I am new to this and don't know much as to where and what to buy for starting 3D electric RTF flying. Please any input would be great.
Thanks Everyone.

NO.do not order fomr them, everyone has bad experiances with them.i would suggest towerhobbies or horizon hoby, or amain hobbies.and check out DWfoamies.com, they have good planes and they are foam, easy to fix. and you can get a plane without radio but for cheap.here

How Ironic, that when I saw you wrote that message I was actually looking at those on their website. I like them, but I am new and really have no Idea of everything I will need.
I did like this one though because it is RTF and pretty cheap. ParkZone Typhoon2 3D RTF. Is this a pretty good one to start with? What opinions are there on this or any other ideas for an RTF.

If you are going to get into the world of 3D i would definitely recommend that you get an ARF, mainly because you will be bashing planes and you should know how to put them back together.

Definately go for a DW Foamies 38" Yak 54 kit. It's an awesome 3D performer, that can be as tame as a high wing trainer. I have gone through about 10 of them sofar, and I love them.
The DW Combo pack is $120, and includes a brushless outrunner, 20 amp ESC, and 4 MojoE8 servos. I love the E8 servos. Haven't stripped one, nor have I heard of anyone stripping them. The brushless motor/ESC have a lot of power too. Hovers at half throttle, and more then enough power to pull out vertically with authority.
I don't use the combo motor/ESC on my Yak, but I have flown a Juka that uses the combo package, and it flies just like a 3D foamy should - to the extreme.
All you need is a 4 channel radio, and a 5 channel receiver (spektrum Dx6i is perfect).
For the hinges, you will need a sharp knife, and have the patience to bevel a 45 degree bevel. You will need blenderm tape to hinge them, and 1" wide blenderm to tape the spar into place (blenderm tape won't tear or peel off the foam easily - I have pushed my yaks to the limits with blenderm tapped spars, and they held very good). For glue, don't use epoxy or foam safe ca/kicker. It just makes a hard joint on the foam where it can crack easily.
I use gorilla glue fast cure on mine, and they come out strong, and very flexible. A $9 tube will last you hundreds of repairs, and a bunch of planes. All you need is a small bead and you're set. Also, for gluing the fuse pieces together, I tack the pieces in place with asmall bead of glue about every 2", then I run a bead of flexible PVA glue.
