Cool blue canopy
Thanks for the nice pics Kris. I really like the blue canopy on your friends plane. Is it translucent? It's something how creative you guys were with the design schemes. Makes the planes look like a different design. Where are you guys placing your CG? I'm trying to figure out the snap rolls on mine. It's not responding the way I would like so I have to figure that I have something slightly off. Thanks again.

Mine was bought, as was Ricks, ATS in UK offering. With a few mods mine came out at 4.5lbs. Ricks was about 4 3/4 lbs, but he did add quite a bit more timber and loads of profilm.
As you may be able to see the cowl is broken. This was after I smashed it. As you see it now is after the rebuild and yes 4.5 lbs is it weight now. The fuz was snapped in half from the t.e. of the wing. The balsa was glued back together using cyno and the fuz was braced with 1/16 ply on both sides. If you are building one I would suggest this as a stanadrd mod as ther is very little timber at this point. The cause of the Accident, I was using carbon push rods, the rod for the rudder came loose and caused the rudder to shift about 40 degrees over. If I had more hight I would have sorted out but I only had 40 foot or so... If you are using carbon control links be warned....
