the magazine likely appeals to older men ,but it is usually dry and boring..I wouldnt miss it as there are many other magazines to stay current with rc..I think alot of the information could distrubted visa vie the internet.ama contest schedules and other ama news could be viewd on email.most of the articles are already covered by other mags and usually quicker.

RE: How many would opt out of Model Aviation?
I think your asking the wrong question. How many would want to buy insurance only? Me that is the only think I am concerned with. I put my trust with the RC venders to protect our rights with our government. They could shut down Muncie and I would not miss it. MA comes in every month but I just don’t get around to it.
When It comes to my R/C time, I am busy flying and working in the shop due to I fly in the weather the good Lord gives us. I have not built any skies yet due to not having the time.
I am sure MA is important to a large group of people in the AMA. But if I could save $10 off my membership, I am all for it. It would be nice to see how many AMA members want MA that fly (not show up at the club) less than 12 weekends a year.
