Default IT'S AMA ELECTION TIME

Word is that the AMA renewal notices are in the mail... along with the ballots for the elections in the even numbered districts. The campaign statements are enclosed as well. If you just caaaannnn't wait till you receive those campaign statements, they are on the AMA web site in the Member's Only Section.

A couple of reminders:

DO NOT RETURN THE BALLOT WITH YOUR RENEWAL. IT MUST BE MAILED TO THE ACCOUNTING FIRM THAT DOES THE COUNTING. The ballot should be pre-printed with the address and I think it will be post-paid (check about the pre-paid postage). Any ballots returned to AMA headquarters are not counted and will be disallowed. They are not forwarded.

If any of you choose to write in a candidate, instead of picking one of those on the ballot, THAT IS ALLOWABLE. Try to get the spelling of the name correct and include an AMA number, if possible.

Please do not set the ballot aside for "future consideration". All too many wind up in the trash after the holiday season. Send it in as soon as possible.

IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO HAVE SENT YOUR RENEWAL WHEN YOU VOTE. VOTE ASAP.

JR

They are being seen in South Texas.

Has anyone else in District VIII gotten theirs?

Vote for one of the "official" candidates, or write my name and AMA number in on the provided line.

Please read the instructions and send your ballot in correctly. No stamp or envelope required.
