I realized that right after i posted but got busy and didn't get a chance to modify it. Anyway what Regs have changed or come into play after the NPRM and all the comments is what I meant to ask. I.E. is the FAA or anyone heard of the FAA enforcing any new REGs, such as the 5 mile limit from towered airports ect.

No voting does not do away with your property rights. In fact if you don't vote you probably have no rights at all. I do agree that you must cede to the people and laws you voted on, but that would be the case if you did not vote as well. But you cannot vote your rights away, at least not in a free country. I think you are confused because socialism is type of collective economy, not a political system. In a way all systems are collective to some extent, but the ones that allow the most individualism work the best.

Hmmm... Is it because guys that fly electrics don't fly very well? Are they just girly-men?? I don't know...never thought it was that way... But I am open to hearing your views... Even if I don't agree, I might learn something.

What people fly makes little difference the good pilots (the guys that seldom crash) can &do fly everything. It's the same lousy flyers (no matter whet they fly) seem to have the most problems.

Impossible there is No way that an electric drone could keep pace with let alone manouver around a passenger jet " the copilot said it was 100meters out and flew to within 25 meters ..Crap!!!! the plane would have travelled a mile min in that time

Not So. Think it out, if the Co-Pilot spotted it at 100 meters (Approx length of a soccer Field) and the plane passed it with in 25 meters the Quad could have been stationary (Hovering) when the plane passed by. 75 meters is 246 ft at an approach speed of say 145 Knots (167 Mph or 246 Ft/Sec) the Co-Pilot would have seen it for 1 second at best.

Just like pointing a laser at an aircraft is illegal, flying a drone near an airport needs to be considered a serious crime because of the danger involved. Those lifeguards did it right. They asked for, and recevied, permision from the FAA to fly the drones for that purpose. While we have been complaining that this stuff is getting out of control the FAA has been working to streamline the application process for many comercial uses. What used to take days to finish now can be done in a very short time. And some, like these lifeguards, and certian police departments, have what could be called blanket permission rather than having to secure authorization for each flight. With much of the FAA attention focused on how to make it easler for commerical opertions the illegal hobby use has not had as much attention as it should have. That is about to change.

RG: you have it right my friend. The illegal use of hobby related uses, which will be regulated to Death if this continues. These clowns endanger people on Airlines and Private Aircraft as well , without any doubt, a violation of flight safety, they don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Spend your life behind a Prison wall? They deserve it +10.

Flying passengers of that Airline, paid for the ticket to fly from point A to point B, with included stops if necessary. It did not include a Drone flying by outside the window, creating a safety hazard for everybody on that Aircraft at the time.
