Altech made a 'ready to cover' plane that is quite nice, but it's not what I would consider large. It has a 72" span and designed for .40-.60 power. I have one that is unfinished that I had planned to power with a .52 FS. Just never seem to find time to finish it.
They are hard to find now- it's been almost 10 years since they stopped making them.

I'd love to include a Porter and the PC-9 to my stable one day. I do agree it almost impossible to find a quality ARF/ARC version of the Porter. Only PC-9 I know of is the Seagull that I use for a fun fly. []

We need more Pilatus aircraft!!

RC PlanePower made a very nice large scale 98" Pilatus Porter. This was the ealry model of the airplane, which was powered by a large lycoming engine and had the short nose. Most people are familiar with turbine powered, long nosed plane.

Tod bad, they were nice planes made in Czech Repubic, I think. I bought two of them and started one, but it's now been moved back.

The Jamara Porter has about a 95" Wing Span. It calls for a 120 to 180 4stroke. I am currently flying mine with a RCV 90 swinging a 16x14 APC Prop. I have only 4 flights on the plane so far but everything has been good. The plane comes in 2 colors, Red and White or Silver and Blue like the Air America plane. If you have any questions I will be glad to answer.

Eat your hearts out with this ... this is so tempting and begs for an EP conversion. http://www.okmodel.co.jp/catalog/p30.pdf

The VQ one is not nice, she is heavy and the wood is not really good but then its really cheap.

I am flying one of the Jamara porters, from the Czech republic. I got it off of RCuniverse, froma hobby shop that had one or two left. Post a wanted add, and see what you come up with. Worked for me.

I have a FPE 1.3 on the nose. Great airplane. The flaps are really awesome, and it comes down really nice with them deployed.

One nice touch is that the cowl os pretty wide, and would accommodate lots of motors.

The OK Model Porter delivered to the East coast was $550.00. and 8 to 10 weeks.

I have the VQ arf and it is not heavy at all. Wood looks OK to me. Just started to assemble and no problems.
