NO but they are better then a Vmar for the money and the cost is not that far off .
Vmar $329 plus shipping
GPF14 was $119 , plus $250 built $369 , i am not that far off

Yeah, but we are talking the Mig 21. Who else has one of those? Not GP!
And the GP F14, F15 and F4 Phantom are all now OOP guys.
So if you can still find one in a hobby store-grab it.
All GP now offer is the Patriot.

Hi guys, do you think there is room in the fuse of the VMAR Mig 21 to install a DF? I saw that model online a while back; and. like a Siren's song, it still calls to me. I think they look great and they're big enough for me to see!

Any updates on this plane? Concerned about quality- everyone warns me not to buy a vmar- but I really like this jet, don't need something super-fast either. Anyone?

i've always wanted to relocate the engine midships so that the whole engine is hidden. then use a prop shaft to get the power to the front. i've done this on a pusher but am a little scared to due the same thing on a tractor since the prop may just fly out and smack someone in the head.

this is my prop jet. it's from an AMD slope glider. O.S. 32SX

THANKS!! The local hobby hop has a Mig on the way, I can't wait to see it. If I do buy one I'll be converting it to electric !! I have the power system here, just looking for a plane to put it in.

Kmot - yep! i figured if it can work in water, it should have no problems in the air. i only flew it one day before selling it. i was leaving hong kong and the guy loved it. so with tears in my eyes, i let it go... i'm glad it flew, though... otherwise it would've been absolutely worth nuts

Only have one or two in flight shots of my first flight. Now that I see it flies I am going back and adding retracts to it. I thought the performance was marginal with an OS 61, so I am going to "upgrade" to an OS 90 two stroke...

i talked to richmond rc the other nite and they said they are thinking of coming out with a servo released droge chute for their propjets, they dont really need them but that would be kind of cool to have,,, just for fun. kind of realistic...
i got my mig and it looks great except for the damage UPS did to it in shipping,,,, Whats with these guys, when i got my f5 tiger delivered i was at home and saw the ups guy throw the fuselage box out of the truck on to the ground on its end HARD!!!!
i was ready to beat the crap out of the guy, and i let him know it, but you cant be to mean to them or they will bash in every box you get....!!!!!
The tail stinger on my mig was cracked because it had been dropped on its end hard!!!! I have already fixed it, and the outer right wing had a hair line crack where the box had been crushed!!!
I talked to richmond rc about this and suggested that they work on packing the planes better,.,, they are going to look into it....
From the looks of it they are packed very good but they are being handled very badly in shipping,,
I got a aerosubaru at the same time as my mig and the fusalage had a small crushed in spot on it,, the box had been crushed........!!!!!!mishandled.. who knows what!!!!

Thanks Muggen, in reality other than the sound, you would have a hard time not knowing it was prop plane. Flies nice, but you really need the power to get her in the air. Once there she flies fine. I have noticed the tail slides in the turn, probably related to the fact that the original design did not have a prop wash spilling against the vertical stab. The flaps really help with landing. Be sure to have your elevators set to high rate for landing, and use some expo. I am going to add a set of SpringAir retracts t omine, it just doesn't look right to have those wheels hanging down.

BTW mine also had a little damge to one of the blisters on the left wing. Although it is only cosmetic, it would be nice to be able to replace it.

More flights on mine yesterday. The .61 is really humming. I have now installed retracts and you can tell marked inprovement in the performance. Turns on a dime and rolls like crazy. I love this plane....
