I flew it last night. Three great flights. This thing is a rocket with the 51 two stroke in it. The retracts worked great and I had no nose over problems, even with the field grass a little deep. The 132mm balance point seems to be right on. I took a hard look at the quality of the balsa and plywood in this plane aan it's not the typical crap wood you get in a lot of foreign arfs. I can actually see the grain of the wood. I had one rough landing after a flame out but all it did was bend the connecting wires between the strut and landing gear mechanism. I am very happy with this plane. It looks great in the air and on the ground.

Unless you have better luck than all the other VQ pilots, you most likly will rip the gear out of the soft wood.

OK... finished my P51B. Will post pictures as soon as I get them. Plane went together easier than I thought. Looks real nice too. No problems installing the linkages as described in the manual although the twin elevator wire setup at first had me a little worried. The landing gears have the Oleo struts already installed on them and look great altough they seem to wobble a little more than I'd like front to back. Lock down and lock up postions seem fine with little to no wobble.
