Newbie Battery Question
Trying to figure out batteries and which mah is the best to buy. I have read up on mah and C ratings and feel I understand that fairly well. My question revolves around why someone would pick one size over another such as my following example. For my example we will stay in the 2S and deans connector world. Battery is to be used in a rc truck.
On Amazon I see a Zee brand 7200mah 80C battery for $41.99 and a gens ace 5000mah 50C for $36.99.
Both batteries are the same size dimensionally. Why would you not always just choose the longest run time battery since they cost about the same?

Short answer from me would be... weight.
Long answer...I do not personally go out and search for 2S2P battery with ginormous amounts of capacity 'cuz of chargers not being able to see/read all four cells that make up a 2S2P pack. Also, I would rather have two 4000mAh packs than one 8000mAh pack. That's just me though.
I don't know what type of RCing you do, but I like to run buggies/STs/SCTs/RRs for about 10~20 minutes per run. I then grab another battery, another RC, and hit the track again. This way it gives me a chance at keeping temps down, and have a chance to do a quick once over for potential loose items and whatnots.

I never heard of the Zeee Power brand before. I looked at the battery you mentioned and cannot find the spec which says if it's a 2S1P or 2S2P pack. Also, the product description/spec does not match.
Product description
Description:
Model No.: Zeee Power 7200mAh 80C 2S 7.4V
Typical capacity : 7200mAh
Voltage: 2S / 2 Cell / 7.4v
Charge Rate : 2C (10.4A)
Dimensions(H*W*L) : 137.0 x 46 x 25 mm
Approx Weight(±15g) : 11.45oz / 324.7g (including wire, plug & case)
Continuous Discharge Current : 60C
Discharge Plug Dean-Style T Connector / Plug
As much as I hate to say it, I'd put more trust into the Gens ace pack.
