The original post was in 07 and the links quit working after a while. Not sure of the time limit but they don't work on any older posts.
If you have plans on disc and use places like Kinko's you can just tell them what percent you would like them printed. I'm sure Genes printer does the same thing. I sent Gene a set of plans in a PDF file and he printed them to 100% and they were perfect!
I had sent my DXF drawings to a RC plan site for disribution for whatever reason they shut it down. I have the DXF file the PDF file is above and usualy works fine at most Kinkos or other print shops. Yes I did draw this completely new wing design with a few improvements to its mounting and the tail build up back in 07 but it's a timeless design by Phill Craft and Guy Fuller.

probably a really stupid question , and to show my skills, how would you go about scaling this up to a 120 size?
Easy just ask me for the larger scaled DXF file or scale the PDF the size you need it to be.
When my printer printed them to 100% the wing came out to 62'' and the fuselage to 42" I have asked them to enlarge the copy.

I have most of the wood on hand to build the stick(even 48" stock for the fuse sides). I am just waiting to get the plans from my printer. Haven't decided about the scalloped vs straight ailerons but mine will most likely be a trike gear.

I have a Mooney from Eureka Aircraft (before Dymamic Balsa sold out).

I see they are offering a short kit and a full kit of the .60 size Stik.

I may be seeing things. I was sure they were offering a full kit when Ilooked that up the other day. Today only the short kit shows up. May have just been wishful thinking.

i recently rescued a big stik 60, right out of the 80's i think. im waiting for the crosses, and had to dig into great planes archives to find the instruction book. ive flown it once and cant wait to get it out again and see what it can do. i think im a stick fan for sure!

I built this Ugly Stik as my re-entry plane back to RC. But, I haven't flown it yet. I did not want to use it as my training plane. So it sits awaiting final assembly. Maybe later this year I will fly it. I built a Jensen Ugly Stik years ago n loved the plane.

I'm looking forward to that first flight. . I have to get some flying time logged first. I printed the plans then had then put on 11x17 paper n that's what I worked with.

Here it is gathering dust.

coreyportelli, go to the Scratch Building Section on this forum. Look at the thread " Newly Drawn Ugly Stick Downloads Plans Free"

i found the the files for my build on that thread after doing a search for plans. Maybe the link with the plans will work for you. Good luck.

Thanks for sharing the updated plans Sticktickler. The good ol' Ugly Stik lives on! Saw one out at the field this morning and it bought back a lot of memories. Had all sorts of Stiks over the years including the low wing version. All these years later it still makes an excellent model for those windy days when you just don't feel like risking your warbirds.

Hi,

Could you please send a copy of the Ugly Stick on a 60 size engine to [email protected]. I would love to build one as well.

Regards,
Carlou
