Default Aileron sevos

It seems that when i bank to the left the servos will move he pushrod a good deal but when i move it to the right it hardly moves can someone explain why, everything seems fine but for some reason its not pushing enough that one way. BUT i can adjust the aileron servo from "norm" to "rev" and then it works pretty well. is it supposed to be on rev?

Sounds like installation error but without a pic of the installation is is difficult to say. How about a pic with the ailerons in the "neutral" position. Then we can start.

sounds like you might have some kind of mix programed. What tx are you using?

Is this a new plane? If so, did you start with a fresh model memory? If not, you have to reset everything to center, or 100% (expo, mixing, dual rates, and so on). If you have a reset channel selection on your computer radio (assuming of course you are using a computer radio) then reset all in that model memory and start over.

Sounds like you have your control linkage geometry setup incorrectly.

Could be the flaps/flaperons switch is activated.

hey well its nothing to do with the remote settings ive checked it all, Im sorry i dont know what TX means.. so i figure it has to be my setup.. It's better now.. the bellcranks both move the same distance on each side and when pulled towards the servo (centre wing) they'll move quite a bit which im happy about right because i can always adjust it but then when pushing away from the servo they move SLIGHTLY, is that normal or should they move the same distance in both directions?

Hello,

I am relatively new to this hobby, however, I have gained a little insight into issues like this.

I was wondering if your servo horn was set at 90 degrees thus providing equal travel in both directions. If it is not, it will travel more in one direction and less in the other.

oh thanks but no i corrected that now, the servo provides equal travel for both my bell cranks its just ill make up an example if my aileron were to move upwards it would move an inch but if the same aileron were to move down it would only move a fourth of an inch i hope that helps... i know it'd be easier if i had a picture but i cant provide one at the moment sorry

Huh... strange...

What I said previously can cause the same problem...

Are the holes on the aileron control horn centered directly over the hinge gap?

Did the aileron move freely and equally in both directions prior to installing the servo?

You may want to wait for a response from more experienced modelers.

I would do a complete RESET and start over. Your transmitter ( TX ) will, normally, have this option. Speculating without doing that means investigating a dozen or more scenarios. One RESET will eliminate a dozen potential causes. Rich

If both wings ailerons are moving up the same amount and moving down the same amount, that would mean that the servo horns are set right but both belcranks are off. To get the same amount of deflection, you want the end of the belcrank to be 90 degrees from the servo for the servo link.

To get more down than up you will have the bellcranks cocked toward the center of the wing, and to get more up than down you will have the bellcranks cocked toward the wing tips. That is for the leg that is tied to the servo.

Before you change them, check to see if you are suppose to have equal deflection up and down. That should be spelled out on the setup.
