Default Repairing Rudder Push Rod

I broke the metal rudder push rod right at the base of the plastic clevis while trying to unscrew the clevis. I repaired the push rod by using a Great Planes solder on threaded coupler. My question is - is the solder joint strong enough to hold the coupler to the pushrod? If this joint lets go, I lose my rudder control.

Plenty strong enough - as long as you know how to solder correctly

Minnflier is right on, have doe that set up myself several times. Besides, it's the only the rudder and not the elevator.

One point to consider, the plastic clevis is probably a metric size, while the solder on end is most likely 2-56 threads. I woud suggest a metal clevis to match the threads. The kit plastic clevis will not screw onto the 2-56, the hole size is to small. If you do get the threads to bite and get it scrwed on, there is a good chance of splitting the body.
