!2 minute epoxy gone, nit, nada.....
Just came from the hobby store and found out that 12 minute epoxy is no longer available. The only choices are 5 minute or 30 minute. Did any one out there find a source for 12-15 minute epoxy?? Any one try mixing the hardener from the 5 and 30 minute to get in between??

Was at the LHS the other day and there was quite a bit of 15 minute on the shelf. I think it was the BSI stuff.
To be honest though, i never really use 12-15 minute. If I want it quick, I use 5-minute. When I want some extra working time I use the 30 minute. I rarely have a use for anything in between.

I've got some Pacer Z-poxy 5 minute epoxy and some Deluxe 1 hour epoxy and they seem to have almost the same pot life.
I've always thought that the very fast epoxies don't seem to go off as well (they retain a "tack") and that they don't set with the same strength as good old Araldite 24.

I don't know about the hardware store brands, but I find 5 minute epoxy unsuitable for modeling. The thirty minute epoxy is much thinner and allows for better coverage, a bit better penetration into the wood and a stronger bond. If it's important ( like a firewall ) You might as well clamp it and wait. If I am at the field, in a hurry or it doesn't really matter then I just use ca.
