Air Leak? HELP!
Well it's time to ask for help....
I have a Cen Genesis 46 with the 76 engine and it will not start. It was running perfect 2 days ago and I only ran it for about 7-8 minutes mostly less than 1/2 throttle doing donuts. Yesterday it started right up and ran for about 30-45 seconds and died. I have been unable to get it re-started. I'm assuming air leak and pulled the HSN assembly where I found both gaskets cracked and falling apart. Put in new glow plug (OS A3) which is hot, prime fuel into carb visually with air filter off, needles at 3 1/2 out HS flush-1 out LS , good compression but nothing. I've been running all over town to Ace, NAPA and O'Riellys trying to figure out a gasket for the HSN but nothing is working.....i've tried o-rings, plastic washers and combinations but it just won't work.
I have about 10 years experience with rc airplane engines and this one has me stumped. I'm hoping it's not a front bearing as I am seeing some fuel on the spinny thing on the front. Sorry for lack of terminology, this is my 1st truck and I have a T-Maxx 3.3 that never needs messing with. The excess fuel could be from over choking and I saw some spit out the carb with the filter off.
HELP PLEASE!!
Scotty
