OK boys, here's mine put together after the paint. I will try to get it together outside in the next day or two to get some good shots. First picture is without the gear installed. Tonight I put everything back in and got a weight.

Mine looks like it is coming in around 36.5lbs as is. This includes a ZDZ Super 160, Mej 32-10, Pete's model carbon spinner, MTW 110Ks, throttle servo, choke servo, 2 servos on each aileron, one on each elevator, two on the rudder, two receivers, two Fromeco 4800 LiIon, two Fromeco regulators, one Fromeco 2600 on iginition and allows for a 4oz pilot. I did "standard" lightening - all of the holes in the plywood motor box area and such, lightening holes in belly pan and rudder. Stock gear, Graphtec tailwheel and fully sheeted sides.

Based on discussions with Rob, Albert, Walt and Wayne as we have been building these first kits, I am confident that this plane will be coming in around 36-38lbs with cannisters if using these "standard" lightening techniques and not going crazy. We are all in that range.

Plane seems to be coming in a bit noseheavy for all of us. This is excellent as you can compensate by moving batteries and much preferable to a tailheavy condition. This plane does not seem to need a pull-pull rudder configuration (more good news).

On top of all of this it has perhaps the most beautiful lines of any giant scale plane (my opinion). The only one in its class is Dennis's 330. This plane uses the same cowl and the sleek shape of the canopy reminds me of the 330's, only longer.

If you are considering one of these- you will not be disappointed.

I really like your scheme Dave. Looks good. The paint/ultracote match looks great.

Best of luck with it!

Dave,

Your 300 looks great!

I cannot agree more with everything you said. Dennis's 330 is amazing as you know, but when you fly the 300 it will blow the 330 away.

After reading your post I realize I should have said two servos per aileron, 2 on rudder in the tail, and choke servos are in mine.
