Hi EDP, looking great. Can't wait to see it in the air. I bought an Illusion a few years ago. I had a post looking for some plans for it so I could finish it but life side tracked me. I was wondering if you would sell yours or scan them for me? Would really like to get it out of the primer stage and finish it. I am going to have to dig out the original air lines because they have rotted. Drop me a PM if you can help. Thanks Garry

Hey Ed, did you ever finish your AWESOME Illusion? I would LOVE to see some pictures of the completed plane, especially some flying shots. Holy Cow, I cannot believe it's been three years since I've been in this thread. I know all about having the "wind taken out of your sails". I tried to fly my brand new Dirty Birdy through trees on it's maiden flight without success, and it was just an ARF. I don't know what I would do if I did something that stupid to a plane I actually built.
Take Care,
David

The last thing I need to do is "shame" someone else into doing something. I am a firm believer in the saying "people who live in glass houses should not throw bricks". . . . . . LOL I still have a glass fuse and sheeted foam wings for my Illusion sitting in the same box, in the same room where it has been for the last three years, at least. I will get to it one day, I hope.
Looking forward to seeing your finished Illusion.

HOLY COW Ed! ! ! ! !. What an absolutely beautiful plane. These pictures REALLY make me want to get mine built now, but I could NEVER do anywhere near the job you did on this masterpiece. If you ever get the itch to build another one, I will send you mine and you can build it for me. . . . .
Please refresh my memory. What engine did you end up putting in your Illusion?
I hope you get MANY years of enjoyment out of flying your Illusion, you deserve it, my friend.
David

Ed,
Your Illusion should move right along with that Rossi in it. Is that what's in your Deception too?
Thanks to you I did a little something to make sitting at my computer all day a work a little easier. I'm an electrical engineer and we use a building program called Revit to design buildings. I absolutely HATE the program because I've used AutoCAD since 1984 and they are very different, but the program has the advantage of requiring two monitors. So I put one of the pictures of your Illusion as the background on one screen and a picture of your Deception as the background on the other one. That way, when I get frustrated with work, all I have to do is close all the programs I have open and remind myself of one of the reasons why I work so hard. . .

Thanks Guys for all your comments. It is warming up here in NE Ohio but a lot of rain, so the field test may be awhile.
Here are a couple pics of my Bridi XLT. If you're wondering about the elevators inside edges, I had them finished then somehow they got crushed

Hey Ed,
My apologize for the off-topic post, but speaking of the older Rossi's. Do you happen to know where I can find the metal rings and springs that were used to hold the headers on the old Rossi engines? I have a NIB Rossi 60 and a 61 and I need to find both rings and springs for both.
Thanks Buddy,
David

The KK urethane does a very good job and cures quickly. Tack free in about an hour; very fast setting for urethane. One word of caution, I had to use twice the thinner indicated on the can. Pot life is only an hour maybe a little more, so one has to work fairly diligently.
here're a couple snaps of some urethane clear I shot this morning on the stab before final rub and polish.
