Nice looking Super Kaos there speedracerntrixie. I have a Killer Chaos 60. It's a sweet flying "tracks like it's on rails" "solid" "grooves" whatever you call it. Makes me look like I can fly a fast straight line. lol
Question for you guys. I'm getting ready to start a Warlord 40 kit. I'll do a couple mods off the plans like move the canopy all the way forward, maybe get a bigger canopy like a dirty birdy or the Killer Kaos. I'm thinking of moving the Stab and elevators forward like a Super Kaos. So that the TE of the elevators is even with the hinge line of the rudder. I'm thinking Bridi did this on the super to effectively shorten the elevator moment to help with snapping and spin entry. I know it will be a great flyer stock as anything Bridi designed. But I really like the look of that style tail.
Keep on flying these legendary Kaos's!

I have built two Warlord 40s and I am still flying one with a OS 46 AX. It is a not a Kaos but still a very nice sport airplane. This is the current one.

You said Bridi Super Chaos but which one do you mean. The original Kaos had an open cowl like the one on the Warlord 40 and then the Super Kaos had a more enclosed cowl. It was kitted in both 60 and 40 size.. Joe Bridi sold the rights to the name Kaos but did release a similar plane called the Killer Chaos, a 60 size plane. I have one of those kits that I hope to built one day.

Actually, it sort of "is" a Kaos; same airfoil, same fuse, differently shaped tail surfaces and hinge lines... and a turtle deck of course. Hard to imagine flying performance to be radically different. Yours seems modified since it doesn't have the flowing canopy/turtledeck combo and wing doesn't seem to have taper.

There is also the Bridi Warlord 25. While the fuselage is similar to the Warlord 40 the wing is a shorter chord relative to the wing span. With a hot 25 engine the Warlord 25 is a rocket. This is my Warlord 40 and Warlord 25 side by side, the 25 on the left.

Excuse me for my earlier confussion between the Warlord and Vagabond, but regarding the Vagabond wing, I'm pretty sure the wing is the same double tapered Kaos wing platform. Even the photo you posted of the Vagabond confirms that it is double tapered.

The Super Chaos is a Eureka kit, Bluebird is very difficult to get kits from lately but I have a UFO and an Utter Chaos kit here. I am probably going to build the Warlord next, I have an OS 50SX for it, yours looks really nice! I have to say, the picture that Bluebird provides is quite ugly! They should put yours on the box! I wll post some pics of my Super Chaos build soon, all the pics I have are on my phone right now... I am running a 65AX with stock pipe at first, might add tuner later, it has mechanical retracts, Robart for mains and an Ohio Superstar nose gear, very tight in the nose for retracts...

Funny thing about that Killer Chaos kit. When I got it, I opened it and looked at the instructions and read the first page but when I read the second page it seemed like a lot of steps had been left out. I then noticed that I only had the odd numbered pages of the instructions. It must have been two sided and someone failed to copy the even numbered pages. I put a post here on RC Universe and some said no problem I have them and will post them when I get home. When he looked at his though he found he had the same problem. Luckily someone else did have the whole set and posted them.

RC_Fanatic,
The Vagabond 40 and the Super Kaos 40 fly about the same. The Vagabond in the photo does knife edge nicely and is a bit faster than the Kaos 40 due to the thinner wing. The Utter Chaos 40 has the same wing as the Vagabond 40.
