I am sitting on a set of plans for the Avatar waiting for the new house (and workshop) to be completed. It will be my first project in the new place. Are you going to build one? If so, please post a build log with images so we can follow along. I think the Avatar has a parent in the "Avanti" which is also a Don Grassi design. The Avanti is on the Senior Pattern approved list. Thanks for the post.

Hi Dave, I'm in the same boat in trying to get resettled after moving and building a shop. But since I've been out of the hobby so long (bit by the old car bug for about 10yrs) I'm gunna have to build something else to re-learn flying. That'll be the Astro-Hog, then we'll see what happens after that. So if you get to Avatar or Avanti before me, post pics! I like to see the different stuff along with the more mainstream.
