RE: Minnflyer (AKA Mike Buzzeo) has unexpectedly passed away
I just met Mike a couple of years ago at a few local events. I think of Mike as a great contributor and educator of RC Flying and just a good all around personality to chat with. Having read his threads and taken some advice, he never held back on things that could help a person. He was witty and fun. My condolences go out to his wife and family. A great loss is felt by all. He will be missed by myself and many others who have had the opportunity to be around him. Clear flying Mike, my daughter will miss the flying witch. As I once heard if the broom fits fly it.

My prayers go out to the family of Mikes.
As the rest ofRCU, I also got great help from Mike's reviews and articals.
I also had thepleasure to watch Mikedo the flight review on one of his review planes in Alexandria last summer, and then read about it here on RCU.
He will be greatly missed and will be remembered always.

My condolences to the family.
i came back to modeling in 2007 after being away for 15 years, and the first person to jump in to help me with what was, and what was to be avoided was none other than Minnflyer.
have exchanged many many PM's between each other and Mike always took the time to answer.
truly a Modeler that enjoyed helping other Modelers, and will be sorely missed.....................Thermals to you Mike...............we'll miss you.

I too enjoyed Mike's informative posts here on RCU. I hope Mike's family is in touch with this thread so they can see his life from the eyes of this RCU community. I hope it gives them some level of comfort during their grieving.
Rest easy Mike!

I'm fortunate to be the V.P of the flying club that his father "Pat" Buzzeo is a member of. Many of you know the incredible story behind Mike's father. Pat was Chuck Yeagers chief mechanic during the war and is a Bronze Star recipient. We had actually scheduled Pat to speak at our club meeting which was held yesterday. A few days prior, Pat called to say he coud not attend but gave no details. Thursday afternoon I logged on to RCU and read the unfortunate title to this thread. I didn't know Mike but he visited our field several times and the club has some nice pictures of him and his dad.
From all of us at the Palm Beach Radio Control Association (PBRCA) we extended our deepest and most sincere condolences to Mike's family, his father Pat and anyone that had the good fortune of knowing Mike. May his family find solace in knowing Mike is enjoying the ultimate flight.

Rest in peace, Mike. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends.
I've only been in the hobby for a year and a bit and I never had the privilege of meeting Mike personally. That said, I have found his articles to be very useful and he has made himself available to answer my questions on more than one occasion. I am saddened by his passing.
Calm days and clear skies, Mike.

I've been reading this all week long and the obit from the Wilmar local paper. I'll miss his reviews and comments. Mike had commented on some of my threads and answered question I addressed to him. Hoped to have met him one day at a fun fly since Wilmar is only 4 hours away from Winnipeg. Even encouraged him to come up to reviewthe Gimli Modelfest if he ever wanted to head north of the border.

I have been out of town all week and just learned this terrible news, my heart sank when I read it. I met Mike here on RCU many years ago through a thread that had us in tempermental disagreement but we got to know each other and I learned a lot from Mike. I had the pleasure of meeting Mike a few times and met his beautiful wife. I ran into Mike last year at Toledo and it was always a pleasure to see him and his perpetual smile. Mike, you will be missed.
