Guy's i'm using McAfee security and it will not let me into the buy sell section. So it's not just AVG. Just thought you should know. John T.
I'm glad to know it not just AVG. I too have used AVG for several years and have not had any problems untill recently. I agree, I think something is up with RCU.

Brian:

I'm having the same problem. I get a ''Threat Blocked'' notice from my anti-virus program when ever I try to get into the classifieds. I cannot (will not) manage my listings because of the virus which is identified as the HTML/Framer virus.

I would suggest that members stay out of the buy and sell area until this is cleaned up. Judging by the speed in which the managers of this site fix things, we may be waiting a long time.

Harlan
Same exact thing here. I try to access the buy and sell or look at a members profile and I get the HTML/Framer alert and can not access this portion of the website.

Hope RCU is aware of this. I am glad it is not only me with the problem.

Paul

You guys all must run AVG. It's just an error. Norton Antivirus says it's fine. If you have AVG, just keep going and ignore it.
It's nice that some people have no problems and that it's because everyone else's virus program is at fault but maybe, just maybe it's because your virus program is missing the problem. I mean if it is the fault of my AVG 2012program then why is it only onRCU that I get these warnings? I view many other web pages including many other RC related web pages and I don't get these warnings.

Well?????

Just updated my AVG and no dice. It will not let me into the buy sell forum or look at member profiles. So far everything else still works.

Been getting it as well since around middle of last week. Am also using AVG, and this is the only site I get flagged. Normally when trying to access the Market. Am an IT Manager and on a LOT of sites everyday, so I really don't think this is an AVG problem. Could be an actual exploit, or could simply be something mis-coded or such with the iframe set used to deliver the ads. Either way, I'll spend my time on RCG until fixed. Love RCU but, its had a lot of problems since ownership change and it seems to be getting more problematic with each passing year.

I spoke too soon. It will not let me on the swap page no matter what I do or how I do it. Brian

Get a load of this..... It is exactly the opposite for me. I use google chrome and when the RCU site won't let me on, I go to the standard google and get on 99% of the time. Strange deal.. Brian

Harlan,

I get the same thing! BUT........ Get a load of this........ When I go and use Google Chrome, Guess What......... It works!! Sometimes it will set off, But for the most part it works just fine with my AVG on.......

I believe that internet brands will correct this issue pretty soon since it's messing with their product. Their in the business to make money and when their product starts leaving they will notice.

First of all I would try using Mozilla Firefox. It is an alternative web browser which may have more recent protection and could potentially avoid the false-positive block. You may even find you prefer the interface - If you don't, make sure you right click in the blank space at the top of the window and select "Menu Bar" - something many people may prefer.

Second, you have to realize AVG aims to be more than an scan based antivirus, and instead tries to actively scan links and redirects to stop a problem before it happens. This is also most likely the case of the other software resulting in this problem.

You have two options here if you would like to fix the issue and Firefox didn't work.
[*]Try to disable the active link scanning feature in your antivirus.[*]Disable/Uninstall your antivirus and find a replacement[/list]
When I am on Windows, I use ClamWin, a GUI (Graphical User Interface) Windows version of a free and open source application. It is purely focused on scans, nothing else. I try to be thorough in my security settings to avoid them in the first place.

I did read in another thread it may have been fixed but if not, hope this helps, any more questions just ask

I am also using AVG and getting blocked when using FireFox Internet Exploder, and now Google Chrome. Getting AVG error "exploit invisible frame injection (type 1707)"
Some one needs to fix this on RCU and soon, or no one will be using RCU . AVG is a good product and is better than many other virus detection programs out there.
I wanted to sell some stuff but can not.

Sorry bud, I got the same warning on AVG Business Edition and it's far from free or cheap.

FWIW, you couldn't pay me to use a Norton product after the fiascos I used to have to deal with back in the SystemWorks days...

Then why is it ONLY RCU that is giving problems? Why not RCG or ANY of the other web sites I visit EVERYDAY? Just because you're STUPIDenough to pay a premium price for an anti-virus program does not make it abetter program. Only a more EXPENSIVE program.

Oh for Christ's sakes just pay for a decent antivirus software and you wont have any more problems.
Why is it that eveyone who is using AVG is having problems? It's because it's crap!!! End of story cheapies!
I don't understand being accused of being stupid, because I use software that works, and filters my computer from crap, that free software does not.
How is that being stupid?
My pc is working fine, yours isn't , who is the stupid one?
