Default Carbon Fiber

Hi Everyone

Alot of models that I have been looking at have a layer of carbon fiber inside the engine bay and inside the inside pipe tunnel cover but the outside is fiberglass. I presume that add this after theyhave alomost completed the model. What sort of resin would be used to attach carbon fiber to fiberglass once the fiberglass is already cured. In some cases the carbon fiber seems to go over the balsawood formers and some of the internal structures. Could this be vacum bagged to give a better bond between the surfaces and take out the extra resin. Thanks for any help
