If you need to, I'll swear I saw that tree move directly into the path of that airplane....

Now.. where did this happen again???

I really don't mean to laugh, but I must say that's a hilarious shot. Thanks for posting and giving me a chuckle...

Thats just bad luck. I had a similar thing happen too me. We had afun fly at out club and a screw driver was placed in the ground to tether balloons to be poped by aircraft. After the event the screwdriver was forgotten and left in the ground and was sticking upabout 3 to 4 inches. Wouldn't you know I landed the aircraft right under wing servo exactly on the screw driver and snapped the gear of the servo. I didn't notice until I was airborn again and the plane acted funny.

Next time use a different color scheme on the plane. The similar colors obviously attracted each other.

You should see some of the replys I have gotten from friends that I sent this to. You would think it could only happen to me or something.
This is A dry lake bed right outside of Boulder City NV. I love flying out there mainly because of the people. I always take planes out there to maiden, you know, nothing at all in the way that you could ever hit.
Only two of us out there that early and I was just flying in A spot off to the side of the pin board
and forgot where it was. I had been landing right out in front of me and this time was the same but it had A longer roll out then normal. I had control of the plane so it wasn't an accident. I had full up elevator and left rudder but the lake bed is ong big bump so turning is slow on the ground. If I would have been more on my toes or maybe had more coffee flowing through my vaines I could have hit full down elevator and just turtled the plane and maybe loose the prop but I wasn't that fast this morning. [&o]
The lower wing came off with two broken nylon bolts and the two nylon bolts are still in the forward wing block with the block still on the wing. Very minor problem.
The top wing on the right side about center is missing A few ribs, some spars and the LE. TE is still looking good.
The wing is repairable and or I have the plans so I could just build another wing. No other problems with the plane, the fuse and bottom wing don't have A mark on them.
How about A shot of AC flying as the sun comes up over the hills??
And yes, I was laughing myself and AC was walking in from picking up his newly kitted plane when it happened. Just another day of fun!!!!!

Hey Isn't there a desert out west where the rocks move? Is that where you took that picture?

OMG Isn't that the epitomy of Radio Controlled Model Aviation... You probably couldn't have done it if you actually tried!!

Yes I could!! But I wasn't trying. That's what made this so funny. It was just one of those brain fart things. Other then this it was A really smooth landing and roll out.

So, how do you like flying on Mars?

You must have to set your idles very low to keep your planes from rolling away.

I love it!!! I love taking planes out there to maiden. It's impossable to ever run into anything or miss the runway.
