Default PLEASE HELP WITH CX2 uncontrolable spinning

I have had this heli for a week. Yesterday I broke the upper blades so I stopped playing with it. Today I went to hobbie shop and bought new ones. Installed them but the heli spins so fast that it wont even lift of the ground . .

its like an uncontrolable spin.. like a top

what could have happened.?

What way is it spinning? Have you messed with the proportional potentiometer? Is there any wobbling?

it was flying great .. well until it crashed.. THe blades look balanced but I suspect a shaft is bent ? it spins to the left .. but faster than anything ive ever seen . .

That means that the lower rotors are spinning faster. If it doesn't wobble then nothing is bent. If it does then I would guess it is the inner shaft or flybar. Is anything binding? Are the screws that go thru the lower rotor head and thru the outer shaft tight? If they are it might be rubbing on the inner shaft and slowing it down.

My nephew had his first crash awhile back with his CX and after new blades it did the exact samething, so i striped it down to find the inner shaft gear was slipping, i could'nt find anything that locks that gear to the shaft to keep it from slipping, Its now solid after alil CA Glue or Epoxy.

Good Luck

just took it apart and the pin on the lower roto head that goes into the blade was snapped off. Dont know if this was the problem .. I also noticed that I can hold the lower roto with my hand and the top will still spin when power is applied. Is this supposed to be like this?

the upper and lower blades spin independently so if you hold one still (not good to do as it will burn out that motor) the otherwill still spin so that is fine. but it still sounds like some thing is binding because one is rotating slower than the other hence the spinning.

im in the process of taking it all apart .. you guys make a good point about something binding ..

Let me ask you this .. when your heli's blades are spinning and you cut the throttle, do both upper and lower blades slowly start to stop at the same time?

Mine the lower blades stop spinning much sooner than the uppers

My lowers also stop sooner than the uppers. But it flies great.

Check your swashplate to make sure it has not seperated. The aluminum one is much better(and costlier)!
