If your transmitter is capable (you didn't say which one you have) you can set up the dual rates easily to run off the aux switch, and/or possibly the gear one.

Can be done, takes some doing though.
You'd have to set up a pair of mixes and assign them to the switch. One position would be low, one high.
Question. What are you setting up on dual rates that isn't already preset in the tx?
