Default RE: chit chat thread

ok so i have stepped down to his level. Ive reported about 4 or 5 of his personal message. He should be getting the ban hammer anytime soon now.

I took my extra 260 and parkjet down for a fly this morning.

The parkjet is very easy to hand launch now. Once you know the right method then its easy. I found i have plenty of ailerons but not much elevator. I was able to roll it with easy but pulling back on the stick is a task. I put two lipos through it. I still think its not fast enough on the 2s setup but i think ill leave it like this as i need to use up the 2s lipos i have. I know for sure if i put it on a 3s setup i will crash it for sure. Its a pretty boring little wing but it gives me something else to fly.

I had a couple of flights with my extra 260 as well. It has a 35-30 1700kv motor and an apc 8x4 prop. I have come to the conclusion that this motor is way to fast for this plane. In the near future im going to take the 35-30 1100kv motor thats on the hyperion snyper and put it back into the extra 260. I think ill then order a 35-36 900kv motor for the hyp snyp and put a 12x6 prop on it.

The extra as is, is a blast to fly but its only good for fast passes. I will be able to do this with the rare bear soon. Although the extra does not have much of a rudder i might mod it so its a little bigger soon and try some 3d with it.

Anyways i want to get my hyperion snyper flying really good. Theres so much this plane can do if set up right. Hopefully a new motor and prop will help it alot.

I put a few packs through my little mcpx as well but the wind came.

They literally turned the sprinklers on me at the park i was at. So i packed up and came home.

Had a good day of flying. Now to jump on the sims and do some crazy flying.

stalyoni I did not know it was possible to have too much power. Don't use a smaller motor make the airframe stronger.

i have already strengthened the wing in the extra 260. The frame is as strong as it will be. I have run the 35-30 1100kv motor with a 11x5.5 prop on it before and it performs amazingly. The 1700kv motor on it is overkill. It means i only have a shorter flight time as well. Ill see what happens when i get some funds up.

Im also waiting to see what this rare bear has got in store for me. If its as good as the boys say then its the only plane ill ever need from now on.

sucked in, i hope he got 4 months like i got. Keep reporting all his posts boys i wanna see him go down and never come back.

I spent the arvo on the sims but mostly on realflight. I got a model of a PA extra and its very dialled in. I was mostly working on a routine rather just flying around. Im definitely getting alot better.

Anyways happy flying all. Seeing him on a vacation has made my day

man i reported like 4 of his posts and about 4 personal messages. Really nasty ones so he would of gotten 4 months or more for sure.

Anyways meebo hope the uni work is coming along nicely for you mate. It will pay off in the long run. Hopefully on the weekend sometime we can organize a pheonix session with all the boys.

Let's hope so mate, it's only fair considering his filthy and aggressive mouth.

I may just have a play tonight, I need to unwind already. Between work, uni and home i'm frazzled.

oh man thats golden. That means his gone for 4 months as well.

HAZZA!!!

is there any way i can find out how many points i have. Im pretty sure i have like 12 or 13 as well. Oh well its not the end of the world.

My life is going so well since i started on this new medication and i dont really care anymore.

I just cant wait for my rare bear. More so the 1000mah 3s lipos with it. This means i can get my bigger 3d hawk up in the air as well.

Man i so want a PA of some sorts but i still need to work on my skill level. This will take a few more crashes yet.

I've just been lookin to see if we can view our current points but came up empty.

Perhaps getting a plane like a PA will force out the cautious flier in you and because it's so nice and expensive your less likely to take risks and there fore won't crash.

Just enjoy some scale flying with it for now until you get better with the throw arounds, who knows ... maybe by having such a precision plane your flying skills will improve faster as it handles better *shrugs*

Well that's my logic and I'm stickin to it

Or...

Have some fun

Talk a little bullsh*t, share your build/flying experiences. Yak about what you'd like to buy/fly. What trials and tribulations you're having with a particular Bird. What your current fleet is. What your fav aircraft is. Something that's giving you a hassle. If you like Vegemite or not. What the weather is doing. Last time you flew, and what. What you love about RC. What you hate about RC. Great things you've seen lately. Whatever...

Or - get banned from RCG and bully someone.

Entirely up to you...

BJ

I could not fly for the past month because where I fly there was construction. Now that it is done I have caught a cold. The weather always stinks because I live in the 2nd most windy state.

Well it seems to change each week it was the UMX Sbach 342 but reassessing the kinda flying I want to do I'm goin to pick the new 3DHS 34" Edge foamy that will be coming out hopefully next month sometime.
It ticks all the boxes with power, handling, stability, maneuverablity and most importantly ... it's got Chuck Norris factor, tough as balls.

Strangely enough, the fastest RC aircraft are actually 'gliders'. Well, 'dynamic slope soarers', or 'kinetics' etc.

They've recently broken the 400 mph barrier in the States.

A couple of our guys headed over to California recently and managed to crack 300+ mph.

That speed alone is fairly fangin it in a straight line - but what makes it even more impressive (well, to me at least) is they they are flying that speed in a fairly tight continuous loop. And a lap at over 300 takes only a few seconds.

And all with no engine whatsoever - just wind and gravity...

BJ

PS - attached a few pics so you can get an idea of what a DS Loop looks like. Pics courtesy of 'Gouch' from RCG - pretty handy with a lens. Now, imagine that Bird is travelling 200, 300 mph or more. Sure, the loop would be a bit bigger, but I think you can get the gist of how sharp the reflexes would have to be to fly like this...
