Has anyone used Turnigy 50-65A?
I have one of these motors laying around with an 80 amp speed control and I am trying to find a plane for it. Does it have the power to 3d a 9 pound plane or should I stick with something around 7.5lbs? Also i am limited to running on 6 cells. Any ideas?

Can your ESC handle 9 cells?
That would be a great motor with 9S1P 2100, or 3200 for longer flights, a CC HV45 and a 12x6 prop in a 6 to 7 lbs plane. That motor is equivalent to a .46 glow engine except for the RPM is lower. Instead of turning a 12x4 at 19,000RPM expect to turn a 12x6 at 12,000RPM. So, look for a .46 ARF with a 50 to 65 inch WS. here is a good one http://www.pacaeromodel.com/Knockabout/Knokab.htm
