Default Plettenberg 30-10 evo and Jeti 90

Is anyone out there running this combo. Went flying today, and had some issue with the speed controller cutting out when i was setting up for my approach into the pattern. I was pulling up and advanced the throttle to do an reverse cuban eight to get into my pattern, when the motor suddenly quit. I pulled the throttle back and advanced it once again and the motor came back it did this on every flight except the first flight where i had no issues whatsoever. my setting are high timing for the motor, low cut off voltage, acceleration high,

thanks in advance

What is your low voltage cut out set to?

Don't know if it helps, but I have a Pletty 30-10/ Jeti spin 99 set-up, and,I think on Jeti's advice (not certain,it's some time ago), the acceleration is set fairly slow at 0 to 100 % in two seconds.
The delay is easy to get used to-very similar to the old two-stroke winding-up of yesteryear really-and I've never had the problem you're describing.

Well it isn't LVC!

I don't know anything about Jeti settings, but in the interests of 'turning over all stones' I will mention that a very similar behavior is exhibited when the Rx battery voltage is low and the Rx gives a failsafe warning by cycling the throttle.

Ask me how I know.

I think I found the issue with the Jeti and the Plettenberg. The problem was with the receiver. I recently got a new radio, and installed the new rx in the plane, and then the issue started showing up. I even went and borrowed a Jeti99Spin, to see if this would resolve the issue, but it did not, so I started to think of everything that I had changed, and decided to go back to my 8 channel receiver and voila, everything is back to normal. Put three flights in after i changed the rx and no hiccups. Thanks for your input. Feels good to have the problem behind me

Which radio?

In any event it would still be handy to know why this occurred.

I have interchanged 8- and 10-channel Rx's with Airtronics (SD-10G) with no issues.

I recently bought an 18mz, and the receiver that came with the radio was the culprit

I have a friend with the 18mz, and he had a similar thing I believe(I fly JR,and the details are of course outside my comprehension, or budget).
I think it's something to do with the signal speed, and it can be made to work with the jeti escs by using an optional ,slower, channel(possibly channel seven, but check the manual perhaps?)
