RE: Falcon 120 help with motor
its been a while but if I remember correctly I bought a 60mm diameter by 65??mm lenght in runner, 10 cell with a 120 amp esc? The plane was slow to rotate but when up was fine, it is still flying

RE: Falcon 120 help with motor
You will need to clean up the rotor and balance it really well, then you will have to dynamically balance the fan which means balancing while running, home user will usually rotate the rotor and test until the sweet spot is found then fit the spinner and do the same, the spinner will often need balancing as well.
The new HET inrunner motors would be suitable, the 800 series, I am not sure on the load of the Haoye rotor as I have/would never use one myself, but I am guessing it will need a motor around 800Kv, HET has some in their new range, 800-60-830Kv I think is one thatmight be suitable, or the 800-68-685Kv. You might be better going to rcgroups.com and searching for the Haoye fan threads as lots more guys have persisted with this fan over there and will be able to help you.

I'm very impressed with the Scorpion 4035 motor, it pushes almost 6kW and lands cool to the touch. Almost too good to be true. My fan did not need any ballancing.
