Default petco 354

Has anyone ever heard of an engine named petco. I have a petco 354 from a 1/4 scale r/c car. I have had it about ten years and forgot all about it. There is no cutting to convert it. has four holes in the back, which i could make a cup mount for. rear exhaust, already a pitts style muffler on it. Has a wa-200 (11.13mm bore) already on it. removed all the shrouds andand its ready to go. Cannot find any reference to this motor anywhere. I was told one time it was about 54cc. Anybody know?

Petco--Plastic Engine Technology Company...In between Trail mfg and US engines...
Bought Quadra 35s and 42s many years ago..
Don't think they got the 50s and 52s, so its not likely a 54cc...
Anything for a US 41 will fit, its basically the same engine, maybe cast by a different foundry...

thanks for the info. Its got to be at least 50cc. Piston is huge compared to a homey 30. apparently made in canada according to castings, looks new inside cylinder. I must try and use it!!!!

I have one of the 1/4 scale pull start Q35s on the shelf..It came from my Pacesetter 1/4 scale sprint car..They also made a NASCAR body, and a 1/4 scale dragster with a SOLO 50cc two stroke...Neither was rear exhaust....I KNOW mine is a 35...Maybe Petco made a rear exhaust 54, never saw one...
Look at the Quadra parts breakdown pages on

Manufactured here in Kingston. Went under around 75-78. Bought two at the big auction 35 and 42 for 50 bucks a piece. in the box. these were the industrial engines with the full shrouds and rewind starters. I think that's when Klaus bought everything else and started Quadra. They only ade 35 and 42. I imagine the 35 in 354 represents the displacement. I still have both engines. Tough birds

I have a new ultra stick but it is the older one. Would this engine be good on it or would my homelite 30 with big bore carb be better

Q 35 swings an 18-8 prop, so whichever turns it the fastest is the one to use. Should turn between 7 and 7500 depending on what condition and age. My oldest one has the highest compression.

I have one of these engines. Beautiful Homemade 5' boat came with it. I have no idea how to make it all work and I know i need a radio and servos. This is my first rc project. Any and all help or instruction with the assembly is appreciated.
