32cc Poulan Weedeater conversion need input!!!!!!!!
Hello all.
I finally identified a weedwacker engine given to me as a Poulan "Weedeater" 32cc circa 1994.
It has Ryobi style rear carb/exhaust.
Have trimmed it down and removed all the offending items not needed.
I intend on a carb upgrade something like a WT-433 and making a custom pitts exhaust as well as fitting CDI ignition.
Weight less muffler/springs and flywheel is 1050 grams.
Anyone run one of these, flown one or have prop numbers????????????????
Do you do the prop hub the same way as a Ryobi. Going to turn down the flywheel to accept the CDI magnet then fit the hub in front of that.
I am new to this so any help is appreciated.

I believe I have the same motor, I was told that a Ryobi prop hub may just work. All you need is a spacer between the flywheel and the prop. I was also told that it would swing a 18x8 prop at a good rate.

Good to see someone else with one.
I am using CDI ign. on mine so trying to find out the best hub for the job, may have to make one.
I was also told that they produce good power, but no one has mentioned figures yet.
This week I have been stripping weight of it including trimming the fins and removing the mageneto mounts. Have just ordered bearings and gaskets from M&D mower. Next is a Bowman ring.
Looking for carb suggestions too. Currently has a 7mm venturi.
How is your progressing??

Oh, my motor is not progressing in a hurry at all. I am a full time teacher with two children and an expecting wife. I get a few minutes a week to work on my projects, which include a Spadete, and this motor. Perhaps by next winter I will have time to build a plane for it. I am planning to buy a prop next week, and if I can find the time try to start it. However, don't hold your breath.

I have two of these in my parts boxes. Was saving them for later on. Looking forward to your conversion. They are very similar to my Ryobi. I put an 11mm carb and a Bowman ring on it. Swings an 18x8 MAS Classic at 7400 rpm on magneto ignition and hollowed out stock muffler. I did cut a larger exit hole in my muffler.

I picked one up the other day.
It was called a Poulan XT T20.
The back plate, muffler and flywheel off a Ryobi 32cc fit right on.
I am putting this together for a friends Dyna Flight SE5.
It needs the Ryobi style of exhaust and Carb. to fit under the cowl.
Here is a picture of everything just pushed together.

I have the 28cc version of this little motor and want to put it in my 88" tiger moth .I measured the piston clearance and it is a whopping .087" it has a .013 thick gasket so removing the gasket would help A little it also has a very small carb. wt199 I would like to hop this little guy up so I hoping that some one has done the 32cc or 28cc like this and has some good tricks for it to make a little more power.[img][/img]
