Finished the other side this morning and started thinking about the pipes coming from the jet engines. I made these from soda cans don't know if I can make them work. they look cool stuck in there anyway.

Soda Can Exhaust
My last post for today. I think these cans are going to work. They are just taped in now but after they are glued I think they will be just fine. I punched hole on the joints and ran a small piece of solder threw them and heated the ends to swell. Then I tapped them flat like a small rivet made of no lead solder.I don't think they have to be all that strong. They are not sanded or finished I just hit them with some flat black to see what they looked like. Sweet now they look like Exhaust Pipes.

Fuel Door
Well I played around at work a little and made this fuel door. It is raw not finished but it looks a lot like the one on the Fun-Key fus. I will paint the inside red and the outer bezel silver or the color of the fus. what ever color that turns out to be.

Paint fuel door
OK I painted the door and added some detail cut hinge ( not really) and put a pin threw it, but I just looked on the other side but lower and it looks like another fuel door. I guess they have two fuel doors? Now I have to make another one. Wish I would have looked closer.

Gauge panel, I found a picture of the gauges in a Bell 222 and printed them. Hard to find good, correct pictures for free. I guess they don't have to be correct it's just for fun. Here are some pics. don't be too hard on me, kind of rough.

Something else to look at, hinges do I make the back doors open or the front doors open? That is the question, the only problem is the front left door was cut on the door line. These are so cool they're from Airstar International.

The brace was removed by the first owner. It is still removable using clips. Found scale pilot and co-pilot lol

TAIL ROTOR CONTROL SYSTEM
The pedals are made from rivets I cut off and then turned around. I used balsa wood and cork to finish the pedals. The foot pads are made from .020" .010" sheet styrene. I textured the pad by crimping it between wax paper in a vise then cut my pieces.

Center Panel Cockpit: I used Styrene, balsa, computer plug pins you can see in one of the pictures. I cut the pin all the way off to use for buttons and left a small amount on to use as switches. Plastic Du Bro hinge cut and used the cut off parts as the lens on the KLN 90 G.P.S., TH350 TAC/CONTROL, and on the HOUR METER the white lever is made from a straight pin with a plastic ball that I ground flat on both sides the other lever is balsa

Retract Rebuild Didn't care much for the look of the stock retracts. Styrene, balsa, Small tube aluminum. Looks better then the coiled wire and didn't cost an arm and a leg.
