Both the 1.5cc and the Taifun diesel lost their restraining cramp during their short runs.
Someone else who thinks that a set of cramps designed to hold wood together
while glue sets is good enough for holding down a model engine.
See the Barton c/l forum for a discussion on the topic.

This guy probably came really close to getting some high number of stitches, he was amazingly lucky.
That razor sharp APC prop can do some serious damage.

That's one of the modern Webra Sport diesels. There was also a larger diesel around .28ci.

They sometimes show up on thebay. Fairly unusual, and hardly go for "runner" prices. I think they were last made in the late 80's but I'm not sure. Google didn't turn much up. I knew I had seen that design before though. Usually they have a blue head.

And the .28 diesel.

Yeah, Webra is gone.

What ever it is the operator isn't very safety conscious nor very technically minded.

Yeah Deja Vu there Ray! But at least this guy stood to the side of the engine and it was mounted onto a bench instead of on top of a post.
Cheers.

I apologize for lifting such an old thread, but I just thought I would provide some more/better information...
The LST Motors are/where made in Vilnius, Lithuania. They made some very high quality 2.5 and 3.5cc ABC competition engines, while the 1.5cc seems to be more of a sports engine (iron/steel, or hardened steel cylinder as the label indicates). They are indeed very similar to the Webra 1.5cc Sport, with common design ideas, but it is not the same manufacturer. The instructions that came with the engine are in German so maybe they were trying to compete with Webra in order to reach a larger market, or Webra copied them, I'm not sure who was first...
Below are some pictures to show the differences, the LST engine wears a Webra carb in the pictures though, as it was a direct drop in and I prefer RC over CL.
The LST 1.5cc makes about 10200-10400rpm on a MAS 9x4, and it has a very nice and rapid throttle response. The top end is not quite as smooth as for a PAW engine, for instance, but the power is very similar to the PAW 09RC MkII engine.
