Webra are superb engines, below a few pics of the seldom seen Speedy 1.8CC from early 80's,ballraced with rear exhaust.
3 different models, Pylon, RC and Marine were available, latest models were 2CC.
They were rather pricey (twice the price of the OS .10 FSR) and very powerful, .52HP @22000rpm (.27HP@15000rpmfor the 10FSR).
The marine Speedy was sold with factory gear system (2 ball bearings).
On the pic N°2 you can see some accessories, the standard muffler, the tuned pipe and the special glow plug, very expensive too!

Back about 5-6 years ago a Webra 1.20 (the standard version ) sold it for about 200 bucks...the Bisson muffler about 40.

What's it worth now?
Your guess is as good as mine...if you could get 60 to 70% of that...

Hey Guys! I have three webra's and old 3.5 cc glo star, a 40 blackhead , abd a 61 blackhead. I love em! I crashed the 20 two sundays ago and broke the spray bar in the speedy carburetor. They don't seem to make replacement parts for these anymore. I talked to Paul's hobby about it and we are a loss as to how to fix this engine. Any suggestions? The carb is a screw in carb, so probably will not be able to substitute a different one. Does anyone have a spare spray bar, or a engine for parts? Thanks Tim

Well Tim, I'll tell you I've been watching the bidding site for Webra parts over the last few years and have seen only one threaded carb body for sale, so forget that unless you want to bid on a complete motor like your saying. If Webra-Austria cant help with their customer service email, I think it might be a long wait. I bet your heartbroke over it as I would be. Don't loose hope though. Learn how to add things to a watch list on theBay and you might be surprised with one right away if nobody here can help out. Lots of people here too.

There are about seven choices here. I had the Sport one on mine, it has a great sound.

Here is my latest Webra creation....

I machined a spacer/addaptor to accept a OS 855 muffler so I can use it on this profile model.

I ran it on the bench and never hooked up the pump. It draws fuel and runs EXCELLENT! on muffler alone.

I'm still breaking it in per the instructions that came with the engine......

I think its going to work real well.

www.swanyshouse.com sells Webra engines and parts. I just ordered some parts for the 145-R pictured above.

Paul Swanson is a good guy and will help you out.

Pauls model supply also has Webra parts from what I understand.

You can get the specs here: [link=http://www.webra-austria.at/motor.php?search=1055&folder=AERO&lang=EN]Webra 120[/link]

Then just find a mount that fits the dimensions.

I've got a couple of Speed .61's. Was running one with an old Mac's "flow thru" (Mac's called it a "venturi") muffler on a Deception, but my fellow club flyers have banned it from the flying field for being too loud. Is there a better solution (a solution that will not exceed 90db at 15 feet) that will not kill the power we all love with these engines?

Maybe a muffler from a modern Webra or a modern Mac muffler. But not sure they would be below 90 Db. Thats a very low standard your club has. Most modern mufflers are below 98 Db and some are below 95. That muffler is probably about 100 Db so 98 is about 2/3 of the volume. I bet a Mac's muffled pipe would work and boost power as well. What is the plane? Looks good!
