Default EXCEED RC Drift-Star Electric RTR.

So who actually has one of these? I'm planning on buying one this weekend and I wanna know if it's any good .. Like what kind of upgrade parts can be used for this ? Because the only upgrade parts I see are the ones on the site and I wanna know if they use any other brand upgrades. Any other information on it would be nice. Thanks.

I want this car too but I don't want it to be like the electric car I had.It takes four hours for the battery to charge and I can only use it for around 15 minutes. How long does it take for the battery to charge and how long can I use it for the Drift Star?

how long the battery charge goes depends on your charger. If you use the brushless system get a better charger for the lipo battery.

the stock battery charges in about 1 to 2 hours and it last about 15 minutes.

it will be longer of course but if you use the stock charger it output 9W.

3000mah battery is 21.6W

21.6 divide 9 = total charging time.

BrushLess COOL! Now if you go brushless can you use a LIPO battery? Also were can you get replacement body's for these cars. I just got one with the older Toyota looking body and want something a bit cooler. For a $100 bucks its a cool car. Now how many turns is the motor? I have a Traxxas 12T motor from my rustler and it looks to be the same size. I thought the stock drift star motor was a 10T motor. I may play with it and stick in the Traxxas motor to see what happens FYI it is a 550 sized motor.

You can use a lipo battery, that wont hurt anything. The one thing I would check before you start sawpping out motors is if the ESC can handle the one your putting in there. If it can't handle a lower turn motor you will kill the ESC.

For 99 you cant go wrong here... I'd drop a 3000Mah LiPO in it and run it till the motor fries, then go brushless.
I don't like the Body design of the Exceeds to I would also grab a Yokomo Body set so the car looks expensive as I get passed up buy the real yokomo drift spec cars =)

actually i got this car for christmas after messing with a toy. i did get the brushless upgraded one for 156ish which is a complete steal compared to other cars of the same type....its ia nice drifter overall and really is easy to control. i never messed with rc cars before in my life so i am a true beginner. after drifting a little bit i started to order some extra parts to customize it to my liking, i put a set of regular rubber tires/inserts/wheels today and actually seen that even though its a "drift" car it is a fast and controllable regular car as well, and VERY FAST!!!!!! after learning why you are supposed to glue tires i realized how sharp it turns without flipping/losing control....absolutely stunning job exceed on the quality of the car. i will probably be buying a couple more soon when i get into amateur racing this summer, wish there was a way to order the driftstar chassis only without tires/wheels/body but still a bargain no matter what

rating 9.6/10 (didnt like the tires/wheels that came on it lol)
