Need Muffler for Webra 50GT Speed. Any One?
Hey guys,
I need a regular muffler for my Webra 50 GT Speed. Dont need any perfomace muffler. Just a regular muffler.
Do any one know were I can get a inexpensive one that fit the Webra 50 or any of you are selling one?
I need it because I going to install this engine on a trainer to teach my kid to fly
I have check Tower and the ones they have are 37mm bolt spacing and the Webra is 38.5/39mm bolt spacing.
THX,
Isaac

Do you have noise abatement regulations where you fly?

Well then, probably the least expensive way to go would be to either just run the engine open exhaust like the old days. Or get a simple header, which you can tap for fuel tank pressure line.
If you are handy with solder and metal, you can make a header from brass and copper. Get a small rectangular piece of brass, drill the holes for the mounting bolts. Then drill out the exhaust port. Next, solder on a length of brass tubing. You can also go further and make a mousse hair spray can muffler. Or you can make a muffler from copper water pipe fittings. Except the copper is a bit heavy.

Wow, they want almost $50.00 for a muffler, add a few bucks and gett a Jett Stream muffler and run it rich. If you are unable to come up with something, send me a PM, I have a 50 stock muffler, will peddle it for $30. including shipping to a bro. ENJOY

BTW, Why use it rich with the Jett Stream muffler? Do you mean because I going to use it on a Trainer? Or something with the Webra engine?

Was talking about the high performance Jett Stream or Ultra Thrust mufflers. They are a tuned pipe type that will give you 1,000 rpm or so, but for sport use, should run them a little rich to be safe. I perfer the Jett Stream muffler system myself, both are about the same. The stock muffler as I have, you run as normal. Will get back to you on the pics, they are in my computer, but can't get them to upload yet.

I give up on this GD computer in trying to get a photo to you. PM me your full name and address, and I will get the muffler to you ASP. Its like new, you can just send it back if you don't like something. It has been tapped out to 6/32 to get rid of the metric stuff. May need to run a drill bit through the engine. I do this to all my mufflers that start metric. Our local hobby shop is terrible, just one of several reasons to keep US threads.

Hey Kmot, I have two Webras 50GT Speed with that same muffler and both have suffer that the rear part of the muffler get separated. I fix the problem putting 3 stainless steel rivets.
I also think that one of the Webras that I bought comes factory with the rivets.
So be carefull in order that you dont loose part of the muffler during flying.
Here is a pic and you can see one of the rivets. In total there are 3 rivets.
Good luck,
Isaac

What I need is a new brain screwed onto this old one, seems just worn out. Wonter frequently if this $1500. computer is really screwed up as bad as I think. Recall my first one at work. Here's your new computer Roger, all ready to go. Yea, how do you turn it on. Been uphill ever since. If it were not for being able to communicate with people like you and the rest of the gang, would be hardly worth it. Thanks.
