now this is what I call a fast plane
You guys want to go fast try something like this. Flew it today its a q40 with a nelson, fastest thing I have ever flown. I put a carb on the nelson but now I think I should have just left the venturi. Pucker factor was pretty high but it was easier to fly than I thought. I have tried to make a lot of different airframes go fast but this it the ticket for all out speed.

Nemesis I guess, the guy I bought it from didnt know. I have a Miss Candace also in the attic, think I will get it going now.

I just bought one of the Jett SS40 motors for a speed project. It's got a carb but no low end needle. It's nice to have a throttle and not HAVE to fly it flat out for a tank of fuel.
My last speed plane was a Sunracer on about 400W. It was great because I could fly it WOT at around 130mph, but it was still a great flying plane at 100mph too.
If you're not racing fix the carb setup and go have fun. Personally, I'd use green locktite to glue the carb into the sleeve or the sleeve into the case, whichever is coming loose. A liitle 609 goes a long way. If you really need to remove it later just heat the case with a propane torch and the 609 will release.
