Default Flying locations

There are countless places to fly nation wide and they all have their pros and cons regarding weather. But, if I were to move out of California...where would be the best place to live considering all?

If you are still part of the daily rat race, the San Diego area has a great network of freeways.
Bakersfield is nice because its' local economy is depressed and your dollar will go a wee bit further for living accomodations. You can just pull off the road and fly anywhere there.
