LR-1 first flight today!
It hit 50 today here in mi.Just got back from the field.LR-1 jett 50 ss muffler 8.5X7.25 prop. What a little screamer[8D]Super fast! at least to me.Its flys very stable.much like a q-500.It comes in a little hot but not bad.needed a long approach to bleed off air speed.landed perfect.I set the CG.at 2 1/2 and did not have to touch any of my trims. Its very nice when everything goes to plan.I hope this plane will be a stepping stone to a full blown Q-40 racerwhen i can find the money[&o]but the LR-1 will do for now.Great plane highly recomended A++

RE: LR-1 first flight today!
well with the jett 50 ss muffler 8.5x7.25 prop.Im hitting 18,400 peak ground.launching at about 17,600.I do have a good size muffler spacer to clear fuse.not sure how much that brings down rpm.the plane is very clean so im thinking about tryin a 8x8 prop.should get me to around 19k peak ground.then i could launch at around 18,200 and that might be better

RE: LR-1 first flight today!
The spacer may bring the SS back close to standard tuned muffler specs with a max designed rpm of 18,000 rpm. Maybe a little more pitch would work out.

RE: LR-1 first flight today!
hey bob, thanks again for selling me the LR-1.the spacer does not seem like it drops too much rpm.Im still hitting 18,400 peak with a 8.5x7.25.and that seemed very good.bob27 said to try to prop it for 18k peak so a 8.5x7.5 would work too.also i will try a 8x8.but i am very happy with the speed.at least for a few more flights[8D]
